  1. I have 170 pounds to lose....my surgery isnt until June....I'm planning on starting Medifast when I get paid this week so I can try not to gain anymore weight before June....my goal is to lose 40 before surgery...
  2. I bet its a great birthday present, huh!! Congrats!!
  3. I have my undergrad and masters.....and about to finish year 1 of doctoral study......and yes I always knew I was going to be a teacher, even when I rebelled and majored in Business in undergrad I ended up working in Patient Education in a Cancer Hospital and later chunking that job for a classroom of my own...7 years later I still love being a teacher....the kids are a handful, but I love the creativity and watching kids learn and have fun learning something new! Question: Same as Lissa's: How many years of education do you have and are you working at the job you thought you'd have as a kid?
  4. When's your date??? Mines is JUne 11th......9 days before my birthday!!!
  5. My favorite color is any shade of blue... Question....where is one place in the world you would like to visit but haven't, and why haven't you???
  6. Ok, I wanted to run this by everyone....I am scheduled to have my VSG on June 11th....I got an email from Medifast (one of the many diets I've done in the past, I know you guys can identify) and it said that I still have 21 weeks left from when I started and stop back in 2008.... My doctor have not placed me on any program until 2 weeks before surgery, but he did encouraged me to try to lose weight....even if its just 10 pounds.... Should I try to use my medifast weeks?? I'll only be able to do like 17 of them but I can take advantage of the fact they are already paid for????
  7. When I talked to my doctor last week he said that because I have had my lapband for so long (over 7 years) my pouch probably have dilated some....so the 60-80% EWL with the sleeve I would fall closer to 60% for EWL because of that.... I asked a similar question last week....looking forward to everyone's responses
  8. When I was talking to my surgeon on yesterday, he told me that the range of weight loss was between 60-80% He told me that because I have a band and it has been in for almost 7 years the top of my stomach (my pouch) is probably expanded some ( it has a little) he said that it would effect the amount of weight I would lose with the Sleeve, he expects me to be more to the 60% end of the percentage.... My question is, is there any revisioners who have achieved the 80% mark, I truly believe I can get to the 80% (I know how I am when my back is against the wall, I'm a fighter) and I am praying I can lose 100% of my excess weight, I'm starting now... I just would like to hear from you... thanks

  11. my doctor ordered one for me as well, I've taken one before when my primary doctor was trying to figure out my gallbladder problem....the test is pretty expensive because they have to put you under for about an hour...and if they find anything the doctor will send it to pathology which is a huge bill itself....why cant your doctor ICD it to test for acid reflux, instead of baratric??? I would call and ask...
  12. I was told last year that I need to lose my excess weight, my GYN actually talked with me about the sleeve, I'd never heard of it and she and I had a good talk and she gave me info about it...she told me that if I lose the excess weight the PCOS symtopms will not appear anymore, she never said that is would completly go away...I think I will ask next time I see her....
  13. I have my lapband card I was given back in 05.....I keep it behind my driver's license in case of emergency....wonder do they make a sleeve one??
