sweetmfl reacted to Shannalee in Surgery In Mexico Monday...Hey everyone Im doing good! Wish they were a bit more forth coming with the pain meds! Last night was a bit rough! Lisa good luck, it will all go well:) Just so you know....its true the nurses really dont speak much english, sometimes I couldnt understand what they wanted and im in the profession. Some things I wish I brought...pain meds from canada, seriously comfort is everything, maybe go to a clinic tonight and explain the situation., a hot waterbottle, the port site is sore, hard candy, and a comfy bra...I dont own a comfy bra because the girls are quite large but the underwire rubs the top small incision. Best of luck Lisa!!! It will be all good... oh and to log on to the internet at OCC is code is tjsurgery...it took a really long time for the nurses to figure out what i was asking for.
Keep me updated:)

sweetmfl got a reaction from Holly Dolly in Getting Cold Feet?!We will be having surgery on the same day!! I too have been having alot of "what if" thoughts but my biggest motivation is my 2 1/2 year old son. I will be 41 in May and if I don't do something about my weight I won't be here to see him through life. Plus just from reading alot of the posts on here the last few months, it sounds like 95% of the people love the band. It won't be easy but we can do this!!! -

sweetmfl reacted to NJ2NC in Day 1 Of Band Life..Hello everyone, I was told I did great in surgery no complications. I did stay the night..thank goodness for that the inclining bed was a life saver. I was afraid of how much soreness I would have post-op but I have to admit it was manageable, I did ask for pain meds several times tho. Walking was good seem to help a lot I walked the halls each time I was disconnected to use the restroom. Now I'm home on the couch with everything I need within an arms reach. Everyone is so supportive on this site. Thanks to you all.
