I'm going to Dr Philippe Quilici but I'm in SoCal. I googled Dr Felix and he seems to have positive comments except the for the one complaining about their program fee. My surgeon has a program fee as well which covers the psych evaluation and nutrition classes that my insurance is requiring for 4 months.
I'm also going with a surgeon with tons of rny and band experience but not as many sleeves. I found him through my insurance. Where in California do you live?
I also have Aetna but are you sure our bmi had to be at 40 these past 2 yrs to get approved. I'm at 41bmi now but was below 40 in 2009. I'm looking to have my surgery in January 2011.
I know Dr Quilici is one of the best out there when it comes to Gastric Bypass and I hear that's his preferred weight loss surgery. Although I haven't entirely made up my mind, I'm leaning more towards VSG. Any input with Dr Q perfoming this surgery would be greatly appreciated.
Lilmissdiva...Awesome results so far. I love reading your posts! I'm also starting at around size 22w and can't wait to start shopping for cute small clothes.
I won't be having my surgery til early next year due to insurance requirements. Hope these months fly by!!
I discovered this site a couple weeks ago and I'm hooked. Everyone on here seems very sweet and helpful. I'll be going to my last nutrition class next month and after that its insurance approval time. Hopefully I'll be getting sleeved in January 2011!
