  1. So I've had the band for 3 weeks now. No fill yet. My Dr. has my on low carb with food portions of about 1/2 cup sizes, but I can definately eat more than that. I'm really mad at myslef right now because this week I totally went off the diet. I traveled for work and ate smaller than pre-surgery, but way more that I should have and not low carb. I'm frustrated that I literally had surgery to loose weight and I already am not sticking to the diet!! Looking for some motivational tips. Anyone else struggled and bounced back with good success. Am I the only one at this stage having difficulty?!?
  2. I am 2 weeks post op and doing low carb. My Dr. recommended sugar free popsicles and Jello and I have been using those to curb my sweet tooth cravings. Before that, I did a lot of beef consume Soup.
  3. Hello all, I was banded on Sept 22nd and have lost a total of 16lbs so far. Got approved for the soft foods high protien diet a week ago and enjoying being off the broth. Not losing quite a fast as before and I am definately having a hard time`sticking to the 1/4 cup portion size recommend by my doctor. Overall though, I am happy about the result and glad to be on this side of the surgery after my 6 month insurance-imposed wait!
  4. Hi! I am new here. Just got banded on Sept 22nd and a week later got approved for 1/4 cup portions of "soft" foods. The trouble is that I am feeling great. No fill yet, and I feel like I could literally eat the same thing that I was eating prior to the band placement. I have been sticking to the high protein diet, but it's so hard to eat only a 1/4 cup! Anyone else having this issue?? I mean -- the whole reason for the band is to help with portions. Really looking forward to that first fill!!
