Hunger...
I was sleeved in December and I am starting to have the same problem. I never really used to have an appetite or get hungry, but now I feel like I am hungry every few hours. I am quite frustrated, as I dont want to gain back my weight.

The Scale Is Broken! A Story About Stalls...
I was sleeved on December 28th and I just overcame my first stall, which lasted FIVE WEEKS! Like most of you, I lost 33 pounds right off the bat, but that fast and furious weight loss soon came to an abrupt stop. I was convinced that the sleeve just wasnt going to work for me or that the battery in my new scale was just not working. However, I was loosing inches during the five week stall, as I actually went down a pant size during that time. It is just mentally draining to step on the scale and see the same number everyday for 5 weeks. Atlast, I am happy to say that I have lost 7 pounds in the last 1.5 weeks. I hope that the "stall" doesnt show his ugly face for a while!!

February Thread For December Sleevers
I was sleeved on December 28th and I have become very discouraged. I have been stalled for the last 4 weeks. I have lost 30 pounds since I was sleeved, which I know is great, but you get so used to the weight just falling off in the beginning. The first few weeks, I lost 1-2 pounds a day! Now, I lose nothing. I have been trying to focus really hard on my Protein intake and Fluid intake. I was just released to start exercising at my 6 week follow up appointment last week. I had some complications, so they didnt release me to exercise until later in the game. Is anyone else having this problem? Any suggestions on what I can do? I feel like my "honeymoon phase" is already over.

How Long To Start Losing Weight After Surgery?
I had surgery on December 28th and I gained 15 pounds from surgery. DOS I weighed 275 and now weigh 265 pounds. Which leaves me with an additional 5 pounds to lose from surgery. When can expect to see some real weight loss?

Pre-op Gastric Sleeve Surgery Preparation - Grocery List
I am having surgery on December 28th and I am trying my hardest to get everything prepared and ready for when I get home. What are some things that I should purchase and have in my home to eat/drink when I get out of the hospital. I will come home on a full liquid diet, which includes Soups. I will convert to mushies two weeks later. Also, if there are other items that are non-food related that you found helpful, please share them as well.

Terrible Fear - Not Waking Up After Gastric Sleeve Surgery!
I was just approved on December 9th and my surgery has been scheduled for December 28th. So Fast! This is something that I have always wanted to do, but now having insurance that will cover the procedure has giving me the extra motivation to move forward with the surgery. Nonetheless, I have an absolute terrible fear of not waking up from the surgery, which would scar my son for life. I dont even think I can tell my son about the surgery in advance, otherwise he will be in school all day worrying to death about me. He is only 9, but he gets worried when I have to go to a doctor's appointment. My son and I are very close, as we lived on our own for many years. His father left me when I was pregnant with him. I am remarried now, but I worry that something will happen to me and then my son's life will be turned upside down. I read through posts on VST all the time and see all of the people who DID wake up from surgery and are doing fine, but my head just wont let me overcome the fear of dying. When I met with the NUT I asked her about this and she said that because I have never had any other surgery before that my fears are normal. I have been put to sleep before for a tonsilectomy and a colonoscopy and I did fine with the anesthesia. Did anyone else have this fear? If so, what did you do to work through it?

Pre-op Tattoos?
I love it!! "This tramp is still stamped" made me LOL. I guess after my surgery, this tramp will still be stamped. I got my "tramp stamp" back when I was skinny, so if anything, it is more disformed now than it will be when I lose weight.
