  1. So here i am 8 months later started with some bad habits and then completely fell off the wagon. i am worried that my sleeve is stretched and that i wont lose any more weight. I need to start at the beginning again. so anybody know if i follow the pouch test if that will help me get back to basics like make my sleeve feel like it did in the beginning? I mean i still cant eat alot. unless its liquidy. i sitll can only eat half a weiner or 3/4 or 1 egg things like that but i feel hungry or want to eat every few hours. is this normal or is it all in my head. if i have bread i can only have one slice but still. i do drink carbonated beverages they dont bother me will that stretch my sleeve or is it just over eating. i dont see how a liquid could stretch your sleeve. i can see how over eating. I need help like food councilling no doubt i know i am a food addict but i am aware of it just dont know how to stop i got this sleeve to change my life and it has but i still have failed to give up some habits. i find meat really hard to eat and i am lazy. lol well i just need some re adjusting and some help 12 steps for the foodaholic. lol well thanks for listening. just hoping its not to late and a ruined this wonderful tool. thanks again
  2. does anyone find raw vegetables hurt or give you abdominal pain after you eat them? what about dairy?
  3. Thank the god above for that ! U r such an amazing person who helps tonnes of us all day long!
  4. I had my surgery through there I don't regret one min! I actually wanna go visit again!
  5. hey dooter when were you sleeved
  6. Okay so i have a question for all you veteran sleevers. I used to love chugging back a cold glass of water and i have been having a hard time with gettin my liquids in because i couldnt drink no more than a few sips at a time. the last few days i noticed that i can actually almost continuously drink and not hurt afterwards. AN ALMOST CHUG. lol i could keep going but of course i get a brain freeze right away . im wondering if i ruined my sleeve or if eventually it just gets easier to drink like that again? weird thing to miss. i know ! after being sleeved but thats the one thing i did love was chuggin cold water or iced tea!
  7. Well I don't know what to say ! It's been too long on this stall my weight goes up and down for way to long. I don't know what to do any more has this been a waste ? In starting to wonder !
  8. Yay! i'm so happy for you! that must feel amazing!
  9. Well today i started with a trainer today! it felt good to wanna exercise but felt crappy to realize how out of shape i am. Also those mirrors are not my friend. I Looked in the mirror and didnt feel like i looked any different 40 lbs ago. it saddens me and its diheartening but i do know that this is another great start to this weightloss journey.
  10. I am 3 months out and have stopped losing weight but i am still losing inches. you have to make sure u eat enough or else your body will try to hold on to the fat. high protein and healthy carbs. your losing is not over trust me! make sure your drinking adequate water too because if u get dehydrated you will feel tired and sick! i have had this feeling of what is the point i am not losing but trust me its not the end. your body needs some time to adjust to the changes that are happening. i hope this helped keep your chin up and dont give up! i hope this helps you!
  11. Can anyone help me with what we should make sure we are eating if we are gonna kick it hard at the gym?
  12. i do alot of whining and self sabotaging. i worry too much what the scale says. but all in all i must say nothing feels better than when u see someone on the street and they tell you how good your looking and they cant believe the difference. I say that beats the scale victories hands down.
  13. I have the same issue as all of u when was your surgery date pammie? but i here that we can stall for a long time then our inches catch up to our lbs and we are back losing so im waiting for that to happen very impatiently.
  14. drink your water i take zantac sometimes helps with the nausea i dont know why but mine is usually accompanied by heart burn . make sure your eating enough calories and getting your protein in that i hear is one of the keys to success. i am at a 3 week stall so far and its frustrating although the inches are coming off in all different places each week i do notice a difference. thuis forum helps alot.
  15. I have been post op for 3 months and everyone is saying they can see the weight loss in my face and in my belly. Im ok with that but i tell ya i have been fluctuating in between -37 -40 lbs for weeks. i have had slip ups but im a really active person. i find myself getting tired easy but at the same time i have more energy if that makes sense. im just frustrated and i know all the rules and i know i break some of them but man alive. i eat nxt to nothing. I have noticed this past week that i dont get that stuck feeling as soon as i swallow any more. so i eat to fast and have made myself sick 3 times. lol i know i know sloww down. take your time chew your food. i have had the worst head hunger you could imagine lately. so i guess back to basics water water water and protein. ugh! anyway thats my gripe for the evening. sometimes i think that they nvr took enough of my stomach. maybe im just obssessing. anyway night all and thanks for listening.
  16. fantastic! thats how you look! great job! i cant wait to post my pics!
  17. i was prescribed it after my surgery which was in mexico! i find zantac and water the best and stay away from acidic things like citrus. Also i noticed today crystal light gives me the acid too
  18. you will probably feel hungry from time to time on liquids also you might not be hungry it might be head hunger. once you start on solids again u will be quick to realize that you fill up fast. just remember to take your time when u get to the part where u can eat! good luck
  19. i am 2 and a little months out and i am fluctuating inbetween 35 and 38 lbs lost. i use visalus shakes and make them with orange juice and frozen fruit because i too hate the taste of protein shakes. i was feeling the same way you are. but this forum really helps your not the only one and also as long as the inches are coming off dont worry about the number on the scale. i have a friend who seen me two weeks ago and noticed the difference when she saw me today and i have only lost 2 or 3 lbs since then. so you cant go by the lbs as much as the inches. keep up the good work
  20. im 2months out and have not experienced any hairloss.
  21. ahhh! thanks lissa your always so encouraging!
  22. I know im not supposed to but i have indulged in a few friday nights drinkin with everyone . i think i have slowed my weightloss as a result. i am down 30 lbs since dec 12 2011. things that i am not supposed to eat i find go down easier. so i have a little here and there. i think its slowed my weightloss down substantially. i am now gonna focus more on protein and gettin my water in starting tomorrow. i havent started to exercise yet but that is because i find it hard to juggle my kids and my job and my house to find time to go to the gym. my job is physical and early hours. i wanna invest in a tredmill so that its handier and i wouldnt have to find a sitter or leave the house. im only venting here cause its no good to tell anyone around me unless they have had the sleeve surgery. I know im just in a mood but love that we all have each other to vent on and encourage. anyways wish me luck for the next little while.
  23. I had an awful day for eating and i couldnt belive what i could eat i ate alot compared to normal for me has anyone found that it felt like you were over eating? im almost 2 months post op and the scale is still moving quite slow.
  24. Your not going to fail and maybe cooking is gonna be your passion. your dad was just having a moment you made the right choice for you. You will rock the sleeve. have you actually seen online anyone that has truly failed after being sleeved. I mean im sure they are out there but nobody knows their circumstance. You will do great and continue to do great things keep up the good work and dont let things bother you i know that hurt but i know my dad loves me soo soo much they sometimes just say things the wrong way. have fun on your journey
