  1. I'm doing great. It was not as bad as I thought. They moved my date to May 17th because the woman who was before me had complications. So since the 17th I have lost 6pounds. Not bad.
  2. I'm not really nervous just anxious. I'm ready to start this new life. I go in in two hours for the surgery. Yay!
  3. I am May 16th as well! Getting nervous. But also excited.
  4. How long do you have to do the all liquid diet before your surgery? Bless your heart. I start my one week liquid diet tomorrow.

  7. Water. Not wait her. Silly phone
  8. Can totally relate here... My surgery is next month and last month I was a pure coke and Dr.pepper drinker. That was my caffeine. So I started drinking diet anything. Then a few weeks of that, I started drinking less and less of any soda at all and now I just drink wait her special k protein water or plain water. Milk here and there and of course the protein shakes. Frosty chocolate to be exact. But since cutting out soda, it has helped me lose some pre surgery pounds. You can do it. You just have to tell yourself how serious you are about this new lifestyle and stay determined.
  9. May 16th Southern Illinois!
  10. Unfortunately my aunt had the sleeve over a year ago. She was fine the first week but she couldn't eat anything or keep anything down. Which caused a b12 deficiency. It all happened so fast and she too had numbness in her legs and they moved her into the nursing he for in care there. Now she is home but in a wheel chair and always will be in one. Maybe if they could have caught it early enough it may not have been that severe so please get in to the dr ASAP and take care of yourself. We know our bodies the best.
  11. Congrats! That gets me excited!
  12. Have fun in the Bahamas! **jealous**. I hope we can all go through this together because people who do not have this done really can't comprehend what it is we are going through...
  13. Keep up the good work!!! Congrats by the way!!!
  14. Not being able to lift 10lbs will be hard when I have an 8 month old:(
  15. I am in southern Illinois. I hope we can all keep each other on our toes as we go through this journey! We are not alone:)
  16. Anyone else going to have their sleeve in May? I'm excited and now the nervousness has set in. I am reading a few posts that people are in the hospital for like 3 days. My dr said I would only be in the hospital one day. And that I would walk the same day as my surgery.... Is this something they tell everyone or should I plan on more than one day there? Either way, my life changes May 16th and I'm excited
  17. You look awesome!!! Makes me excited about my own upcoming adventure! Keep up the good work!
