  2. I am very happy with my GSP. MIne was done in TJ Mexico with Dr. Corvala. Great experience. Am I as restricted as I thought I would be, no.But I am restricted. The recovery is so much faster. I am 105 days out and have lost 52 pounds. I have about 50 more to go. My doctor told me that it would be a year or 18 months to level out. I would do it again in a heartbeat. In fact I will probably have a tummy tuck at Angeles Hospital when it is that time.
  3. I was not at a clinic, I had mine done at Hospital Angeles. I was very happy with the hospital, it was very modern and sparkling clean. I spent 3 nights there and opted for the additional hotel night (included in the price). The surgery in the states is outpatient, but I was glad to hang around for a few days to make to sure all was OK. http://christensenscraziness.blogspot.com/ That is my blog, I have some hospital pictures a page back or so. -L
  4. I had mine done in TJ Mexico with Dr. Juan Lopez Corvala. I am very happy with mine so far. 2 months tomorrow, 41.2 lost. I started out at 250 lbs and I am 5'6'. I am hoping to lose about 100-120 lbs in a year or so. He told me it will be about the long, or a little longer to level out with your weight. -Laura
  5. I don't have one! I had it out about 8 years ago
  6. I don't think that is eat, since I am not getting them when I eat usually. They seem to be in the morning usually. I also wondered if it was because I am now taking a regular Vitamin and it is REALLY big. On the upside, I am now down 41.2!
  7. So I was 8 weeks out from surgery on Saturday. My weight loss has slowed down considerably, but I still going down. As of this morning I was 39.8 pounds down. I feel pretty good about it. I have went from a size 20 to a size 16 and still going down. I had my first "issue" I guess you could call it. I think I have heartburn or acid reflux or something. Every once and while it just hurts by my sternum. Not long just a minute or so. I also started having a glass of wine about the same time, so I wonder if they are related. Anyone else have that issue?
  8. I get frustrated too, but the Dr. told me it would be a year or so before I level out. So I should not be so snippy with the weight I have lost
  9. I had mine done in TJ with Dr. Corvala at Hospital Angeles. So far at 6 weeks or so I am down about 34 pounds. My starting weight was 250 and I am 5'6" so I have 100+ lbs to lose.. I had a great hospital experience and little to no bruising. I had a fast recovery and and am extremely happy with my results. Now to be fair I have had other surgerys and I recover quickly and I am a healthy person, no HBP or DB.
  10. Hi! So I had my official weigh in this morning, It has been one month. I am at: 218.8! That means 31+ pounds! Not too bad for one month. I am pretty happy!
  11. I had some sirloin steak last night (less than an ounce) and I chewed it really well, but for some reason it hit my stomach like a brick. I had ribeye with no issue, so who knows. On the upside, I did not eat anything the rest of the night because of the "full" feeling. I am trying to work more lean meat and cheese into my meals. Maybe a lunchabe without the crackers?
  12. I would love to keep this pace up, but I know it will slow. That is OK, I will enjoy it while I can.
  13. Total, 26.8! I don't see it either, except, my rings are a little big. But all my clothes still fit. I don't have any preop weight, because there was no preop diet.
  14. I started on soft foods about 1 1/2 in. I knew it was a bit early, but I was dying to chew. My stomach is pretty little. I can't eat a whole lot which is the point I guess. I am just about 3 weeks out and am still eating "softer" foods, but last night I had a maybe one ounce piece or rib eye. I cut it into small pieces and chewed it to death. No issues. The protein shakes are wearing me down. I like the EA low carb brand which only has about 100 calories, so I will drink those for breakfast until I can't stand it anymore. I am trying to get the 60g of protein in my diet , but so far it is about 40g per day.
