  3. I was just wondering how, if any, the surgery affected your period. I am usually very regular and was banded 2 wks ago. It's time for me to start but I am 4 days late. No chance of pregnancy unless DH's vasectomy grew back. (null)

  11. Nice to 'meet' you! I am 31 ...my bday is one day before yours and have 3 kids ages 9, 4, and 3. I am a stay at home mom in South Carolina.
  12. You should just tell him...if you could lose the weight in your own, you would have done it years ago. I have told my mom repeatedly, I want to do this..my mind is made up. Good Luck!
  13. I think it depends on the surgeon's preference. I have to do a 2 wk liquid pre-op I'm actually looking forward to it because it means I'm getting close. Haha..my attitude may change once I get started.
  14. I find myself eating tons of sweets (Halloween candy) with the mind-set that I won't be able to do it again. I know this is the wrong way to think but I'm having trouble fighting the demon! I'll be glad when the candy is GONE!
  15. I'm hoping to make a few band buddies with the same surgery date (December 8). Everything is easier when you have friends to lean on, especially when we are going through the same thing! Casey

  17. @nikki_att84 - we should be band buddies!! That's my surgery date also! I start my 2 wk pre-op liquid diet thanksgiving day! The doc's office was nice enough to tell me that I could have lunch an start that afternoon. So, that's what I'll do so looking forward to a fantastic new year!
  18. @SkinnyMiniMe : I drink the chocolate Matrix mixed with 8oz. Skim milk. I got it from my doc's office. I believe it cost around $50 but has 74 servings in the pkg!

  20. Hey everyone! I've been lurking for quite some time and am "officially" coming out... My surgery date is Dec 8 and I will start my liquid diet on Thanksgiving! (Actually, the doc's office said I could enjoy dinner and start afterward) I am so excited to start my journey!!!
  21. I usually use fresh pumpkin...whatever pieces we carve out, I cut off the 'meat' and mash...it's perfect for this kind of thing!
