  9. I'm really mad. My good cholesterol is on the ground. Less than half of what it is supposed to be. So I bought a trail mix packet only to realize that I had A DAY'S WORTH OF CALORIES EATING IT.

  10. Courtines, from my experience I have found that even those who love you will ask if you have thought about doing it the "old fashioned way". But from what I hear, this person you were talking to said it in a mean way. What I have noticed is that some people think you will automatically lose weight because you had the surgery done, and well, it isn't so. If you see the posts from fellow sleevers you will see that there are stalls, and problems with what you eat, and that you need to exercise. So what I tell people is that the operation is a tool that helps manage a very important aspect of the problem. It is not an automatic solution. Besides, why would you do it the old fashioned way if there are some better options out there? Maraki

    FYI - Synthroid

Yes, you can ask and google. There are quite a few foods that cause absorption problems, including the following: VEGETABLES BROCCOLI BRUSSEL SPROUTS CABBAGE CASSAVA ROOT CAULIFLOWER KALE MUSTARD GREENS RADISHES RUTABAGAS SPINACH TURNIPS FRUITS STRAWBERRIES PEACHES PEARS LEGUMES/SEEDS/GRAINS MILLET SOYBEANS PEANUTS PINENUTS OILS CANOLAyou can also google some more. Its not like you WILL DIE OR YOUR THYROID WILL SHUT DOWN IF YOU EAT THEM, but then again, you want to lose weight right? Then you need to keep your thyroid working at it's best. This is just mere google-ing. But I have talked to my doctor about it too.

    FYI - Synthroid

Humm, I don't know about those symptoms but I sure know you can't take any of the acid reducers for the next 4 hours after you take your thyroid meds. I take mine at 7:30 and have my Prilosec 4 hours later. Same thing with calcium and iron supplements. They cause absorption problems if you have them less than 3 or 4 hours after your thyroid med. Hope it helps... Maraki
