  1. It's like everything else in life... The key to making it work is moderation. we got ourselves in this rny mess by overindulging... Now we have to learn to enjoy everything in smaller amounts. It truly makes you appreciate what you DO have. a small glass of wine tastes so much better to me now that I take the time to sip it over a longer period.
  2. Congratulations, my friend!!! A well deserved victory among many more to come!
  3. Call your surgeon so they can get some scans done. Needing your gall bladder out post rny is VERY common because of how they bypass the small intestine. Definitely sounds like that's what it is though.
  4. Sounds like you need your gall bladder out, girlie! Classic symptoms!
  5. I'm roasting up a chicken in the oven... Going to have that with some taters and roasted veggies! Plan on making chicken and roasted veggie soup for later in the week!
  6. Size 18!! My dress for my twins wedding 2 years ago was a 28!
  7. Enough with the bagel talk, both of you!!! Lol
  8. Tomorrow I'm taking a huge step and seeing my doctor about my "food addiction" and the anxiety it's causing me. I never thought I was addicted to food, until I had to REALLY think about what I was eating on a daily basis. This is HARD. Holy moly. Old habits truly die hard. I know I can't eat as much as I want anymore, but wow do I still want to eat when I'm bored! Hoping this is the first step to "truly" overcoming this portion of my life...
  9. I drink as well. I make sure I drink PLENTY of water in between drinks and I take my Pepcid. My concern is getting a stomach ulcer, so just be safe about it and you should be fine. my doctor told me to just keep drinking to a minimum so I save alcohol for when my fiancé and I want to have a night out once or twice a month. I actually keep track of the calories I'm drinking so I don't exceed my calorie intake for the day and that's a great way of keeping me from over doing it. Haha
  10. I don't know if its the BEST recipe, but I love it! Lol 1 lb ground chicken 1 large can crushed tomatoes 1 packet dry onion soup 2 cans chili beans Chili powder to your liking (I dump a ton in... Maybe 2 or 3 TBS??) Salt and pepper 1/2 cup ketchup 1 tbs mustard 2 packets sweetnlow Sauté the chicken up with some olive oil and the packet of soup mix. Dump everything else in, stir, and simmer for an hour or 2... I do mine in a large skillet. We love it. It's simple, but yummy! Lol my recipe is totally made up from experimenting in my kitchen, so just make sure you make things how you like them... Aka.. Sweeter, hotter, milder, etc...
  11. I'm starvvvving! Like all the time lately. I KNOW some of it is head hunger, but a lot of it is not. Anyone have any suggestions for staying full in between meals/snacks?
  12. Breakfast with a heaping side'o'vitamins?? Sure, why not?? Lol
  13. Mmmm... Now I want a pickle! Haha I'm fresh out right now! Lol
  14. You actually CAN overhydrate your body and cause a sodium deficiency. I doubt that's the case with only drinking about 100oz a day, but if you have a very low sodium diet, then it is possible. You do need sodium in your diet.
  15. You should be fine... Just make sure you follow the dosing on the back I the package and ONLY use stuff with acetaminophen. I got the flu the week I had my bypass and was still sick a week after. My doc just had me but the liquid Tylenol cold and flu... I survived. Haha
  16. I used some of my leftover "Mac" and cheese, mixed with chopped up ham for a delicious protein packed lunch. I still can't get over how darn good that stuff is! I don't miss the pasta at all!
  17. Oh it's SO good! Technically, it's cauliflower and cheese, but I make it like how I love my Mac and cheese! 1 c. Low fat sharp cheddar 1/2 c. Skim milk 1 tsp mustard powder (or mustard) Salt and pepper 2 steamer bags of cauliflower (I'm a busy gal so I use frozen. Lol) Cook your cauliflower then chop the heck out of it (you don't want it "mashed", still leave some small chunks). Combine first 4 ingredients in sauce pan and cook on medium, constantly sitting until cheese sauce consistency is reached. Mix cauliflower with the sauce and spread in baking pan. Top with more cheese or crushed Special K protein cereal and bake for 20 min at 350! enjoy!
  18. Ham steak and low carb "Mac" and cheese! SOO delicious!
