I have been fighting with my weight for the last 12 years or so. I have tried every diet in the book with little to no success. I have been debating over getting the Lap Band surgery for years. I have finally decided that at 44 years old it is time to give the surgery a try. I am still early in the process and have only been signed off by the nutritonist. I have an appointment to see the psychiatrist coming up. Can anyone tell me about this part of the process? I hear that I will have to take a 500 question test. I am assuming that it is the MMPI. I would love to hear any advice on the psychiatric assessments and what to expect after surgery and in early stages.
