I lost 15 pounds n 2 weeks and now it has been 3 pounds this weeks. Every1 is different and how and how fast depends on the person. Good luck and take care.

Hi kerri, try the miralax the surgeon had us take b4 the surgery. I lived n the restroom for 24 hours with that stuff. I hope something helps soon. Good luck

I had my surgery on October 21st and I have lost 18 pounds so far and total w pre op weight loss is 33 pounds. Some days are harder than others and I'm struggling w my protein. Pre op I was ok w 2 different kinds of protein and now several make me sick. I'm still tryn to find a protein that works for me. My 3 weeks is this coming Thursday and I just started to feel a little better. Good luck to all n ur sucesses.

Hi Deedle Dee, I had the sleeve done on 10/21 and I had some gas but it does not stink. I can tell that the surgery gas is starting to work it's way out. Much relief... Good luck

Ok guys, surgery day weight was 215 and now a week later i have lost 12 pounds. Today's weight is 203. I am REALLY tired but I did go for a 30 min walk today. Can anybody tell me how long this whole gas pain last. I can only do little burps and they give me no relief. My stomach is always making noise loud. How long does last?

Thank u all you all for the great words. The one I haven't done since pre- op was miralax, I am s stand still for cudnt keep anything n me to Now they won't exit. Thank u again

To all I just posted my story. It's called my choice

A year ago I thought I wanted the lap band and after research I chose the VSG. My surgery was this past Thursday and everything went great. The only pain I felt was from the gas they pump u w. The Dr said that it is painful and can take 2 weeks to go away. I am day 2 home from the hospital and I have gone from feeling great to weak, can not pass gas, struggling with liquid intake and now can not go #2, my lower right back hurts bad and every joint/muscle in my body aches and I am freezing all the time. I spoke to my surgeon and he said this is all normal and will pass soon. I do and take every vit and pill as instructed and I walk throughout the day. I have already lost 8 pounds since my surgery and total 22 pounds. I know there is a light at the end of my tunnel but I wud luv to hear from others and how they got thru this.

I live in corona ca. I have some size 16 clothes if you want to send me ur email I can take pitures and if want them their urz. Just pay shipping.

@m2g- I had my surgery on Thursday too, congrats. I feel great other than this awfulll back pain that came from out of the blue. Hope all is well w u and every1 else. We will keep n touch

On day 4 after vsg I am starting to have the worst lower right side back pain. I know about the gas but this is a new pain and hurts more than the cuts. Suggestions needed please
