I went back to work day 4 for a few hours because I needed to get out of the house. Dont push yourself too much but the more you move around the quicker you will start healing. I still have some pain but not too bad.. Go for short walks or walk around your house. Try to do a little more everyday if you can Keep your head up it will get better!

I actually just ordered a container of the unflavored Unjury powder. It says you can mix with anything so I figured cream soups and juice and I can at least get my protein in! I cant wait to have scrambled eggs!! Hope you get good news at your appt on thursday!!

So i'm back to work today 5 days after surgery. The pain is much better I stopped taking my percs after 3 days. I've been up and getting around pretty well. My biggest struggle right now is the liquid diet. I'm struggling sooo bad!! everything is gross. even greek yogurt and cottage cheese which i liked before I gag thinking about eating it. The only thing I can drink is the carnation instant breakfast sugar free. But i've been struggling with that also. I'm not drinking enough water so I'm dehydrated. I dont know what to do but I cant take much more of this liquid diet. HELP!! what can I do to get this protein in. Is anyone else struggling with this?

Thank you so much! I am going forward with this tomorrow and I'm nervous and excited but I know that I'm strong enough to get thru it all. Thank you for the encouragement! wow that must have been so hard for you to go thru!! Glad you made it thru and are doing so well! I am going forward with the surgery tomorrow for myself and for my son and I know it will make me a stonger, healthier person! 1 more day!!!

Ok so I'm getting banded in 2 days!! I have been in this program for almost a year and have worked so hard to get where I am. But i'm nervous. Me and my boyfriend of 4 years broke up a week ago today. I have been struggling with heartache and its been terrible. All of my friends and family told me not to cancel my surgery. Its something i've worked so hard for and they are willing to be there for me to help. I just need to figure out a way to mentally focus on myself. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm so scared of what to do and i'm trying to take one day at a time and its so hard.

I have my appt today with the pre op nutrionist so find out when I start. I have my surgery on Sept 22nd!! I actually found on here a long list of tons of different protein shakes and stuff. I can send it to you if you'd like. I emailed it to myself because I'm sure it can get boring quick to only strictly be on liquids. But just think we'll have fabulous results in the end

My name is Jill and I'm new to this site and so glad I found it because I'll need all the support and advice I can get!! I've been in the program since the end of last year and finally have my surgery date!!! September 22nd I'm very excited!! I meet with the preop nutritionist tomorrow so i'm sure I'll get my new diet then. Which is good because I have had the last supper syndrome lately and have been eating alot more than I should be! They make you get a pap smear just because all medical tests need to be up to date. I had to go thru the same thing which prolonged getting my surgery date and I have mild dysplasia. They just want to make sure you dont have cervial cancer or anything bad. It shouldnt cause you to not get a date because I got mine. Just took longer!! Good luck!
