  1. Kids! Especially that age. You can be a size 2 and won't get a compliment. Especially from boys. Oh. Unless the need money, the car or a ride Mine are now 20,22. It gets better. Promise. Meanwhile. Look in the mirror every day and shout "damn I look good". You deserve it
  2. Well put. I too hit that wall and then turned a corner. I am not strong by any means. I wouldn't be in this situation if I was. YOU CAN DO IT
  3. Just muscle milk. Going to the vitamin store and getting protein powder. I think I'll do better with that.
  4. I've been doing rally good with water and had a ton of jello yogurt etc yesterday. Just really light headed today and got the sweats like I was going to pass out. Drinking water hoping it goes away
  5. Sleeved last Tuesday and been doing great. Today I'm very dizzy and light headed. Any idea why?
  6. I hear ya. How are you doing? I think I had a turning point. Clothes getting very loose. Tummy swelling going down and lots more energy. Jello with a bit of cool whip is my go to food when craving. Doing awful on protein. Going to the vitamin store today for powder protein. Think that will work better. Also getiing more cream soup. That was a life saver. Thank you. How are you doing
  7. You guys will be fine! It will get better. You had major surgery and this is normal. Do something to get your mind off food. You will turn that corner as i did. Trust me
  8. I was sleeved 4-23 too. I too have been feeling the same. But yesterday I put a dab of sugar free cool whip on my jello and had some tomato soup. Made all the difference in the world. Today is my first day of feeling good. Hang in there. Scour the message boards for ideas and support. It's not a Picnic but it will pass. Baby steps
  9. You are not alone. Tomorrow will mark 1 week post op. I think yesterday was my worst day. Literally took an ambien and crawled up into a ball. Today I started adding some new things toy diet. I put a dollop of sugar free cool whip on my jello. Made a huge difference. I'm now having a bit if tomato soup. It's done wonders to get through this stage. Hang in there. You are NOT alone

  11. So glad you are doing well "sister sleever". I'm going to try the creamy soups this week and see how it goes. Dying for tomato soup. I just had sugar free jello and put a dollop of low fat cool whip on it let me tell you it was the most satisfying thing I've eaten yet. Thanks for the tip and updates

  14. Thanks guys. I've heard about this breakdown but though nah, not me. Boy was I wrong. I'm lucky coffee is on my liquid list. I think I will get some v8 soup today. I've read about a lot of people eating that to take off the edge. I used to love crystal light and now it nauseates me lol. Oh the struggles we face for a better life. Ps. I too would kill for a piece of roast beef. Lol.
  15. My girlfriend had surgery a year ago and the same happened to her. Lasted a long time. She said it felt like the beat her shoulder up in surgery. I had my surgery last week and went there was no shoulder pain the next day the nurse said I had passed the threshold for it happening. Wish I could offer more support but she still talks about it. Hope yours goes away quick.
  16. Hi Guys. Tomorrow will mark one week post op. really struggling hard with this liquid diet. It seems my day consists is water water water protein shake. More water water jello protein shake and water. I've added coffee in the morning which is going down fine. I can't stomach the thought of broth Anymore. I want a salad! There. I said it. Anything but water and these shakes I had a total melt Down yesterday. Ok. Just had to vent. Thanks for listening.

  20. I've seen different things about crushing pills etc. i take cymbalta and the Internet says not to take it out if the capsule. Has anyone been able to tolerate a capsule? I'm afraid to try. Just call me chicken little. Lol

  23. I'm going to try muscle milk tomorrow. Had jello today and broth for dinner. This really sucks as my taste buds are screaming. It's all in the retraining and no regrets but having a tough time today and craving everything. Sniffle
  24. I was able to drink 1/2 Atkins shake but it kind of bothered me for about an hour. Doing better with liquids too. On my forth bottle if water. My goal is 5 before midnight and then it starts all over. Lol
