I was liquid 10 days ahead and I know it helped me be prepared for the 5 day liquid after and then the mush days. You will do just fine though I am sure. Take it slow getting up and down cause it pull alittle at the port area. Walk all you can to help with the gas you will have. The was the best advise i got and it does work at getting the gas out quicker. Take you pains meds faithful for the first day or so and let you self heal in those days. And I think you will do great. Just know that like many of us you have probably tried many many other ways and this is the one that will give us the skill to finally getit done. Will be praying alll goes well and it is a great success for you.

I ask the dr and he said it would be a small filll?? but that it would bother me that much. I don't know though , maybe I will call rhonda the diatitian that has been helping out about thing. She works directly with him oh this. HUMMMMM

The ONLY thing that helped me was to walk walk walk. It helped in every direction. Gas, Nausea , and gave me someenergy so I could rest better. Now I didn't walk a mile then but just is marks of 15 minutes 3 or 4 times a day and at least one of those the steps and that helped with the gas alot. It came out in all directions( not to be crude. And I didn't worry about the oz I took in because it kept me stressed so the nurse said just to keep something to sip on around at all times and that finally worked for me and I got in almost all I need every day.

I have my first fill on sept . 15 and to be honest i am a little afraid. Have heard both bad and ok results on here at different times and this is happening the day before we leave on vacation. Yuck .

Wow you have gone through alot. I personally have thin hair so was worried but haven't had any problem. I am so glad I had this done and to me it is worth it all.

You will do just fine. I didn't tell anyone but imediate family and don't plan to right now. Figure it is my business. And I did have a hernia fix while doing Lapband, didn't know I had it but it became my answer to the questions why I wasn't here or there or what was wrong. Worked for me and I didn't have to tell a lie which I wouldn't anyways , just wouldn't answer or change subject. Good days ahead for you I am sure. I am two weeks after surgery and doing pretty good now. Not ever hungry, which amazes me.

I have no news to help you with but sorry you had so much going on this time. Why did you have to be fitted again? What is honking breath? I only drink the broth off the soup right now and started mush the other day. Hope you are doing well.

Congrats on doing to good thus far, was banded 8/11 and through i had a few other issues at surgery (not expected0 I am doing well. On mushy food also, Found out mushed chicken is pretty darn good at this point. Made chicken and dumpling for everyone else and kept back some for me. It didn't even bother me not to have the dumplings. I am excited with each step I have taken. The only question I have and may call dr. is that where my port is located is very firm and sore. . Are you having anything like that in the area or is it just me? Keep up the good work. Thursday is my two week mark.

so how are you doing now. throat was bad for me too. Had a couple of other things they had to do while i was in surgery ,.... scar tissue from other surgeries had to be removed before placing band and found hernia they fixed while in there so thurs will be two weeks for me and am finally feeling better. Looking forward to getting on with loosing weight.

I leave the house to head to the hospital in 30 minutes to start this step of my life. Am nervously excited. Praying everything goes perfect. I know there were quite a few of us this first part of august getting banded, excited for us all. Janet

This is the same diet I am on and I too feel so tired , not sure if that is normal but after hearing you I guess it is. Sugar free jello and my homemade broths are my main stay, but I also love the Special K drinks because the fill me for a little longer. Hope all goes well. When is your banding, mine is 8/11

Have started my liquids on the 2nd and surgery the 11th. Not to bad this far until I smell something really like but I will do it. I am determined. Have 100 lbs to lose . My insurance is paying but I had to do the 6 month waiting and glad that is over with.

wow I hope you don't lose your band. How long had you had the vomiting etc. I don't get mine until 8/11 but want to know anything I can do to help me?

Day one not bad. But I started doing one liquid meal a day two months ago to try and get myself ready for this part of the journey. Would like to know if any of you have liquid suggestions with flavor. If I can have good flavor I think I will be alright. Made my own smoothy today , yuck but I can live with it . Would also love suggestions on how you got through this part before surgery. Will take any advice you want to share on your experienc or if you are like me just starting this part of the journey.

No you are not crazy. I too have been big most of my life and I know there will be "how did you do it's" and WoW, Don't yet know how I will Handle it but my husband says to just say " Thank you , it has been with a llot of hard work and support that I have finally been able to loose the weight and that I had drs. helping me with the new adjustments in my life so I could do it in a healthy way" Now I don't know for sure how I will handle it but this sounds pretty good to me for now. I know we will do fine though cause we have to remember this in most of our cases is our BIG chance to finally have a difference in our lives

because I am already on a cpap they didn't have me take that test cause that is what the sleep study is to show, if you need one.

wow that is great, I am so looking forward to my aug 11 date to have mine done. Its people like you that inspire me.

My dietician gave me a small list but many on here have lists they have used and I have gotten good ideals from them. I started out using Special K drinks to get myself ready but more ideals come from people who have already done thhis. Mine too will be aug. 11 so my new friend I am right there with you on taking any ideal there are. Good luck

One thing I have noticed about all of us is that we both are nervous and excited. That completely says it all. Don't know about you all but I am more excited than nervous. This has been a long time coming for me to do something for me and the nervous is can i really do this, nothing else has worked. ???? Then I get excited again when I think of all the people that have done this when nothing else has worked and I think ,,,,,, that's me , nothing else has worked.

Lyssa mine is exactly the same diet, so have already gotten most of it available in my house because they said be prepared and you won't have problems
