  1. I get them a lot. I do not eat too much, or eat too fast. I am nauseated all the time. I get the SLIMES if I try to eat meat. Our stomach is used to producing more fluid to get food to go down and digest, this is excess. I have had a terrible time with slimes. When I vomit, it is mostly mucousy liquid. It is no fun at all. I would avoid if I could, believe me. I was sleeved on Oct 25th.
  2. I was sleeved on Oct 25th and I have had nausea and vomiting problems. Some days are good, some days aren't. My sleeve doesn't tolerate any meat well. I have had lots of days with excess slime and I vomit. My vitamins nauseate me.....I don't get enough protein as the shakes nauseate me now too. I do get plenty of fluids. Each day is a challenge! I am praying each day gets better!
  3. Thanks for the info everyone. I have not had any milk the last two days and felt GREAT!!! This is very hard for me as I LOVE milk. I am praying this will phase will pass. I am doing well on my journey, but I must say it is a rocky road. I have good days and bad days but I know the end result will be well worth it!
  4. Help--I am 2 weeks post op. I struggle daily to get in proteins and liquids but do fairly well. I am allowed soft or ground food. Well since Sunday, I have struggled with foods. Example: today I drink some milk before work. I get to work and sit down and eat maybe 5 bites of mashed potatoes and gravy and some squash. I continued working. It wasn't long I felt sick. I go to bathroom and lean over and instantly some stuff comes up. It wasn't really what I ate. It was more liquid. White, slimy and liquid. I continue having to go to bathroom and do this. I come home and rest. I try to eat cheerios and some milk. I eat couple bites and then sick. I wait till later, try some broth, instantly sick. Now yesterday I felt like a million dollars. Today, I am not well. I take Prilosec 20 mg every am. I don't get sick from vitamins, Once I puke once that day, I am doomed. I puke rest of day. I tried to take Phenagran and puked it up. I don't know if I am dehydrated, if I am eating my few bites too fast, if something else is wrong...please help. I can't stand this!!! Thanks
  5. I got sleeved the same day as you!!! I weigh daily too. I am at a stall. I have only lost 4 now since surgery. I was only at 2. When I went to doc for my one week post op, I had lost 19 lbs since Oct 13th, the day I was there to schedule surgery. I know it will come off, but I agree it is so frustrating as we are barely eating and the weight isn't falling off. I just keep on keeping on. I know it has to come off sooner or later. I haven't tried on any clothes as all I have been wearing is comfy clothes, so I am not really sure where my 19 lb weight loss was, my stomach is still very swollen. Keep up the good work!!!

  7. Crush your pill and put in applesauce or pudding. I have to take acid reducer and Actigall every day and I put them in those to eat. I am only 1 week post op plus 3 days. I still have lots of gas and burp lots too. Good luck.
  8. I just got mine at my one week post op appt
  9. I was sleeved on Oct 25th. I am just past one week. I understand I am swollen, and am recovering from surgery, but when will I see some pound shedding? It amazes me as I am barely eating or drinking. It is a daily struggle to get in my liquids and Proteins. Some days I do better than others. I went into the hospital 241. I came out of the hospital 237. One week later I am 235. Please help. Thanks
  10. Bonnie---I do sleep in bed, but prop myself up on three pillows. It is little uncomfortable getting out but not bad. I am dreaming of my own bed, as I am staying at my parents until next tuesday as Dr. felt like I needed a support system since I am single and no kids. I have got down more today in these few hours than I did the entire time at the hospital. 630 am I had 3 bites of yougurt with pills. At 8 I had 3 oz skim milk, at 830 I had 3 0z crystal lite then at 930 I had 2 oz of instant oatmeal with added Protein powder and skim milk. No nausea so far. So excited. There is no way I can drink more than 2 oz at a time. It takes me forever to sip. I am taking it slow as I have been miserable since surgery. So far today is a great day!!!
  11. I had surgery on Tuesday as well and came home Friday. I am suffering from severe nausea and unable to tolerate liquids. Every day gets better. It is a slow process. I am down 4 lbs since the day I went into the hopsital. I can hardly believe it as my stomach looks like I am nine months prego. I never thought I would be excited to pass gas. I have not had a BM since night before surgery, but my doc told me that I am not taking enough in to even have one. If I dont have one this weekend, I will probably take a shot of Milk of Mag. I am up already today, showered, walked, had some yogurt with some pills, had 4 oz of skim milk and now sipping on crystal light. I am doing all I can to avoid dehydration. I do not want to go back to the hospital. I am very tired and seem to wear down quick, so I will be taking a nap real soon. I am so glad I am done with the surgery and I will admit, I did have couple days of wondering what I had got myself into. I for sure thought I made a huge mistake. I had a mini meltdown in the hospital as I was so nausea and couldn't keep anything down and just knew I was going to be stuck there forever. JP
  12. Thanks for the ideas. This am I was able to drink some room temp crystal lite lemonade. I am just staying away from water at this point. My nausea is better daily. Thank goodness. I will just need to put unflavored protein in my yougurt, my applesauce, anything I try to eat to boost my protein intake.
  13. I was sleeved Oct 25th 2011. I am so nauseated. Just got home today. Nausea does improve daily, but I can't tolerate water. Ugh. I can do thickened drinks better. Does anyone else experience anything like this? I really wish I could drink more as I know I will get dehydrated. Help me~~~~~
  14. Hello there- Dr Hoisington wrote a personal note as I am on 2 nasal sprays and one is a steroid, They said they don't count nasal steroids for that rule. I have to had a EGD then it was approved. I am in the hospital recovering now from surgery. Wellmark just kept reading me the sheet of medical policies, I sent them proof that Flonase was a corticosteriod and still didn;t work. Very frustrating but I didn't give up. Good luck.
  15. Tomorrow is the day and believe it or not, I am calm. I haven't started getting nervous yet. I took today off to rest. I have packed my bag, got all my meds ready, got all prepared. I even called IMMC in DSM to ensure they had private rooms!! Woo hoo..they do!
  16. Im 37, no children, just got my surgery date. It is October 25th. Wowzers. I am excited, scared and on 2 week prep diet and doing great. I am drinking protein shakes, water, and low fat, low carb. So far so good!
