  1. Good luck, man! I got banded yesterday and am feeling great! Of course, I'm still on Clear liquids, but it'll only be a matter of time before I can get some 'real' food into me. One peice of advice - Don't get intimidated by all of the dietary restrictions... I almost did. RD's are infamously negative when talking about what you WON'T be able to do after you're banded, or have bypass, etc. It's rare to find one that says 'but hey, try this...' - that's what sites like these and your local support groups are for. Good luck!! Lance, Raleigh, NC

  4. Hey Fellas - I'm glad to have found this group as well. I actually just got banded yesterday and am looking for some support and have questions that I'd like to address to the guys, but - like you said, it's mostly ladies on here. Very refreshing to see a Men's Room here. I'll be around! Lance, Raleigh, NC
  5. Hey Daniella - I got banded yesterday and experienced the SAME problem. It improved drastically today. And yes, WALK, WALK, WALK to keep the gas pains away... they're currently OWNING me right now, but I'm trying to walk through them.
  6. Hey Crash - I'm getting banded on the 6th also! My surgeon will be doing the single-incision approach, so I'm hoping to have less pain, but we'll see, I guess. Thanks for posting this question - It was one of mine that I've been having difficulty getting answers for, as most of my friends and co-workers that are (were) obese got By-pass. The thought of all the re-routing just kinda creeps me out. Good luck! I hope everything goes well! Lance
