  6. @lucylu1313 good luck with insurance response. fingers and toes crossed btw - on 2/14/2011,(your pending DOS) i was 6 weeks PO, and dealing with dehydration!! i was in hospital over night being hydrated with IV - no fun you wouldn't want that) remember to you and OP, you need to drink plenty of water. take small sips, eventually graduating to gulps. the required amount of water is 64 0z a day. take it slow, you'll get there! drinking to your heath and success. kathy

  8. sounds like EVERYONE suffers from being cold!! PO til now -6 years later, i never was cold because of sleeve. not comparing to OP, just saying why was i never cold!! curious, anyone else not cold? kathy
  9. @Samwheater WW - Jenny Craig, Nutri System were accepted by MY insurance. verification from a gym trainer that you went every week or so might help too. ins. companies have different places/requirements. Check it out, call insurance company good luck kathy
  10. @Alex Brecher @Ken S. The last Email proudgrammy received from the forums was timestamped 1/24/2018 at 12:43 PM. As far as we know, there have been no email settings that were changed. I also checked her in-basket, Junk, Trash and the local folder on her PC that messages normally go to. Her other Email address is still working. It seems to be the same symptoms as the last time we were troubleshooting this. (I did not copy down the timestamp of the other thread we had going last time. Can you check to see if she has been suppressed again? Thanks. Tom (DH)
  11. @nickiarnold7 welcome newbie drinking liquids/water won't make you full. once you gradually eat towards mush, soft and especially the goal of solid foods, you will feel restriction. your new little tummy will feel happier soon. don't worry too much - your hair will turn gray kathy good luck
  12. @MissKathy2015 oh bud i bet you look beautiful!! Unfortunately your picture isn't showing on my monitor kathy
  13. @Nessa36 can't think of a proper word to refer to your weight loss and success. you've done great so far. the best is yet to come keep up the good job kathy congrats
  14. @Bariatric Baddie i think most OP are happy with their sleeve. i believe one of the main reason for sleeve to bypass revision is bad heartburn. sleeve can be associated with heart burn. frequently this problem is helped by the bypass. are you in any pain? uncomfortable, hungry? problems eating and/or drinking? is the only reason you are questioning WLS because some OP have had problems? pain/etc. if you are doing well/or not - don't compare yourself with OP sleevers, RNY, or others. be happy where you are. many peeps tell about their pain etc. those are the comments you remember. for the past 6 years and counting - i have been over joyed with my good health that the sleeve has helped me acquire. many/more people are happy with their WLS. Count me as feeling great, 6 years PO and counting, 105 lbs down GOAL - no problems with surgery/recovery - try and feel better and optimistic - good luck bud kathy
  15. @VSG_Meow_Bitch that's wonderful. great feeling let your new life begin - NOW!! enjoy your new ways of eating, not feeling hungry etc. love to hear from you next month. hopefully things will continue to be terrific. good luck kathy
  16. @blizair09 - great answer!! hope below analogy is right. I am a controlled epileptic. Doc knew about pending VSG. i had a very bad seizure after loosing 75 lbs due to taking too high of med dosage PO for my new smaller frame. meds were continually lowered/adjusted til i lost additional 30 lbs.(final weight loss 105 lbs GOAL).) ps i don't blame dr. - as said earlier, your calories need to be adjusted while you are losing weight. good luck kathy
  17. @NYCNomad Height does make a difference regarding the BMI, but they didn't measure your height, approval went through, they shouldn't turn around and deny you now. don't be a worry wart LOL - you have a DOS - hopefully it's soon, then you can breathe easier PO. BTW - many OP are approved with under a 40 BMI - if they have certain problems. diabetes, high blood pressure etc. Sounds like your inner voice (conscious) is bothering you. that's ok, hope your nose doesn't grow too much good luck speedy recovery kathy
  18. @etc. etc. etc. i'm also pretty boring having a protein shake in the morning. buttt - i sometimes will scramble 2 eggs. delicious - or even a Fage yogurt with a few fresh blueberries kathy
  19. @Tyson4834 happy water is going down smoothly. at this early point in the game, i was told to take small sips, increasing gradually. i was told not to gulp at your early stage - no damage will happen drinking ever- (worry wart!! LOL) you'll be able to gulp/ drink more at a faster pace, before you know it . don't believe you can drink toooo much water. The more water you drink the better. holding a glass of water up, drinking to your health and success. good luck Kathy
  20. @Julie norton if i woke up singing, i'd break all the mirrors!! and ear drums birds eating from my hand? that's all the less food i could eat!! i know you'll pick your ass up - now it's smaller and "cuter" LOL see you later - kathy
  21. @Julie norton warning, warning -sleever in the house!! hey bud - and ALL you other banders!!! new dr. new year, new and improved you!! it sure is harder each year. I'm struggling a little after my 6 years too. i agree, after i see my doc, i always feel better too. more self-assured. a good over all feeling. 23. @low bmi sleeve reflux/gerd doc should ask you if you presently have acid reflux if your answer is YES - you are prone to have more/ worse reflux PO Not necessarily for everyone. i was fortunate not to have any issues. make sure to write a list of questions i.e. gerd - to ask the doc about. good luck kathy
