  1. @jenn1 glad i wasn't the only one who rec'd above!! happened to me a while back did this and that, DH figured it out and fixed he's very smart - after all, he married me! jenn, sounds like you are ok now?? kathy
  2. ROFLMAO @Jleeds welcome to the board! i see you just joined our group 17 hours ago. always room for one more newbie. (even though you are 4 years PO) congrats on your wonderful weight loss - GOAL at 4 years are you sure the gas is still WLS related? regardless why you have this problem - talk to your family doc. (i hate it when OP always say the above - but - he might have a answer/solution that helps good luck kathy
  3. @gbjourney6 gotta love those typos OP above ^^ have given good advice you must also drink 64+ oz water/liquids daily. you are not allowed to drink while you eat. you must wait 30 - 60 minutes after you eat, before you can drink. NUT will give you her specific time period to wait. water rules are very important. Practice makes perfect. "Do or Do Not, There is No Try"!! good luck kathy
  4. @BostonWLKC if/when someone used to call me/or you/or OP overweight - upset feelings would probably occur but..........in "our" group, where people are up to morbidly obese - reaching "only" being overweight is wonderful!! keep up the good work for the rest of your healthier, happier, longer life kathy congrats
  5. I totally understand the above concept. but...... i DON'T understand why OP have that cold sensation almost immediately PO???? never had that prob - always wanted to ask how come?? so... how come i did not have the side affect of being cold??? inquiry minds want to know!!! tia kathy

  9. @angjade2 you are officially approved by insurance, right?? "the" ins company go by your first weigh in on dr scale pre-op if you lose weight during pre-op it should/will not effect change in status. doc is probably very smart/good performing your WLS, but..... i don't think he knows his asss from his elbow! don't stress (you'll get wrinkles)!! good luck kathy
  10. Here i Am, Here I am 5'3" standing 6'' tall 6+ years GOAL ok,ok, small regain - will have off very soon!!
  11. @madhattr "Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained" (mom always said that) good for you that you checked with your insurance - all systems go. great WLS history with your dad and wife having had surgery. wife especially can be a good motivator/helper since she is PO few months. good luck kathy

  20. @playlikeworldchamps congrats on "regaining" your success. must be hard to loose weight regain. 65 lbs - terrific!! you are aces i was sleeved 6+ years ago. i "assumed" once i lost my weight - that was it. no more problems, weight gain etc. WRONG!! i gradually heard from OP (VETS) that you can/will gain weight if you don't follow all your P's and Q's you learned as a newbie. Newbies need to learn/realize they must continue/follow how they ate as a newbie. water, protein, carbs forever. most OP do stretch the rules as time (years go by) nothing lasts forever. welcome to the real world.!! newbie beware good luck Kathy
  21. @quartles once a week i went out with a group of friends we were all obese (morbidly) outing was always at a nice restaurant food, food, food galore. we always had a nice time chatting about this or that. one of our constant discussions was about our weight. plans to go on a diet SOON. we would talk about this while eating cheesecake! as i got smaller i think they felt awkard around me. gradually, we stopped being together. sad but true. (that's my story) hopefully you and bestie will have a better ending (or new beginning) good luck with WLS - kathy
  22. @Sosewsue61 Definitely!!! they are two of the cutest grand-kids i've ever seen!! welllll,, actually my "gk" and yours are running neck and neck! the winner by a nose is.......wait, wait - it is a tie!! - the girls are lucky to have you for their grammy group hug - group hug kathy
  23. @Rudedogg89 man oh man - can you say bummer!! on the upside, you have more time to practice WLS rules, water, protein and carbs etc. your boss sounds like a loser.!!! good luck with your "soon to be sleeve" "God Grant Me Patience, Just Hurry Up About it" Kathy
