  1. Dear Lord, I wish I could have this problem!! As an African American with curves that I love, I totally understand though. However, if you exercise and eat healthy foods and portions, your body will do the rest. So far, with exercise, I have been able to tone up a bit so that I don't look unhealthy.
  2. Excellent!! Congratulations!! You look amazing!
  3. Thank you all! I listened to your suggestions. Yesterday I put my exercise gear and did the ellipitical for 25 minutes. I just did it! No excuses! Thank you all again! I really appreciate it! Did I tell you that I love this site?
  4. ok, I will put an old picture on my refrigerator. Yes, believe, I do NOT want to be that size ever again!
  5. Hello Fitness Gurus, I need your help! I have not been on my ellipitical in 1.5 weeks and I am lacking motivation. In addition to that, I have had a 2 week stall. For the last 3 weeks, I did some aggressive weight training and then had the stall. I feel like I went all crazy with the weight training and then I got burned out. In the back of my head, I am thinking that if I don't work out, I will gain the weight back. I am terrified. Help!!
  6. Mamamckinzie, You look amazing! Congratulations! I can't wait to get to my goal weight!
  7. Thank you! Excellent suggestion!
  8. O.T.R. Sleever, Thank you! I will try a little wine at home tonight. The last thing I want to do is embarass myself. Also congratulations!! 49 pounds in 9 weeks is AMAZING!!
  9. Thank you all for all this great advice! Points well taken. Quick question, what if he orders a glass of wine, how do I politely tell him that I can't drink? (I did drink before surgery, but I since I have not since surgery, I am not sure how my tummy will handle it and I don't want to throw up on the first date.) Any advice/suggestions??
  10. Fitbottomedgirl, I suggest eHarmony. I have already met two really nice guys. After talking on the phone for two weeks, this Saturday, I will have a first date with a guy that I met on eHarmony. We will be going for dinner. So, I have the same question as well. Not sure just how I will handle it but I figure I will decide after we have our first date. Good luck!!
  11. This is the best place to vent, because we know your experience now. Know this: Don't focus on the 8 pounds, it will disappear. The drain will too. Instead think about this: New clothes that you will have to buy. A healthier body. The great support system you have on this forum. I wish you all the best "you future skinny minnie".
  12. Believe it or not, it goes by fast. In the mean time, just prepare yourself mentally and physically. Get in the habit of exercising or taking your daily Vitamins etc. You can do it!! I know you can.
  13. You look wonderful!! I am curious about this answer as well.
  14. Bufflehead, Thank you for your response. ok, with all these rules, I may just have to pay for it myself!! I may have to get a second job or just start some kind of "donation plan". LOL
  15. I called Cigna regarding plastic surgery and I was told that it would have to be considered "medically necessary" by my doctor. The representative was unable to provide more details. She said to just submit the documentation. Has anyone been approved for plastics by Cigna? If so, what is the process and time line? What has your experience been? I would greatly appreciate it if you could share as much as possible. Thanks!
