  1. Go to LAP-BAND SURGERY FORUMS -> MAIN LAP-BAND SURGERY FORUMS -> food AND NUTRITION
  2. Are yo on our web site or app ? You should see the links in my previous post if you're using the web site. If you're using the App....Go to LAP-BAND SURGERY FORUMS -> MAIN LAP-BAND SURGERY FORUMS -> food AND NUTRITION
  3. Sorry, I didn't realize what you were initially asking. The Lap Band recipes forum hasn't moved. It's within the food and Nutrition Forums.
  4. I can't answer your first question The Fitness & Exercise Forums are now located under the General Weight Loss Surgery Forums. Topics that are surgery specific have their own forums. Any forums that aren't surgery specific (rats and raves, the lounge, this forum etc.) are found within the General Weight Loss Surgery Forums. Hope that assists you to some degree.
  5. Your surgeon Dr. Tarek Waked has been added to our directory.
  6. When we first launched the local support forum we divided it up by state. Don't remember why we decided to do away with the State sub-forums. It might make more sense to allow members to add a state tag or state pre-fix to the title (I'm adding this feature shortly.) We're trying not to add additional forums, unless absolutely necessary. Generally I'm not gung ho on merging similar topics. It does make sense in this situation.
  7. Take your time please. I don't mind writing the descriptions if it's a hassle or if you're busy. Spreadsheet or word doc is fine.
  8. Dear Member, I hope you are enjoying a happy and healthy holiday season. As the year draws to a close, I wanted to reach out to you about the exciting new changes in our weight loss surgery community. In November, after much preparation, we launched BariatricPal as a replacement for the old family of WLSBoards, which included LapBandTalk.com, VerticalSleeveTalk.com and RNYTalk.com. I would like to welcome you again to BariatricPal and extend another invitation to visit if you have not been by recently! BariatricPal has the same great weight loss surgery procedure-specific discussion boards, photo galleries, chat rooms, blogging features, and everything else that you loved on LapBandTalk, VerticalSleeveTalk and RNYTalk. Even the old conversations and your membership profile were automatically moved to BariatricPal, so you do not have to do anything besides login! (Just follow the instructions provided here if you lost your password). Everything is available on mobile apps for Apple and Android devices – just make sure you download the new BariatricPal app because the old ones do not work anymore. I apologize to those members who discovered bugs in the early days of BariatricPal. I appreciate and depend on your feedback, and have made many improvements since the site launched last month. For example, some members reported receiving messages about surgical procedures that were not their chosen ones. Please read about how you can fix that here! Or, follow these steps: Login to BariatricPal. You can retrieve your lost password here if necessary. Click on the wheel icon to the right of your username at the upper right corner of the page. Select “My Settings” from the dropdown menu. Click on the tab “Member Information.” From the drop-down menu near “Surgery,” select your surgery type. If you would like to receive content from all other surgery types, check the box. If you do not want to receive content from other surgery types, leave the box unchecked. Click on “Save Changes” at the bottom of the page. While you’re updating your settings, I’d also like to ask you to review your surgeon information and update your patient information. Please respond to this email or click here to contact us if you are having trouble with your account. Again, I encourage you to login to BariatricPal and take advantage of everything it has to offer as you strive to lose weight and get healthy. Thank you for your continued support! BariatricPal has exciting plans for 2014, and I am glad that you are making BariatricPal part of your weight loss journey! Have a wonderful holiday season and may you continue to achieve your goals in the New Year! Sincerely, Alex Brecher, Founder BariatricPal
  9. Please PM me with your original user name and I will be happy to see if I can get you logged back in under it. . Is there anyway to retreat username and password? I'm assuming you mean retrieve ? You can private message me and I can assist you.
  10. Thank you for taking the initiative. Fantastic idea! I've been dreaming about adding a special sortable/searchable recipes section to the site for years. It doesn't look like it's going to happen in the very near future. Organizing the way you suggested makes a lot of sense. I can only combine the Sleeve and Bypass food and Nutrition forums, if I move them under the General Forums and create just one Food and Nutrition forum for all procedures. Think that's a good idea ? (thinking out loud...) I could keep the current Food and Nutrition forums as a redirect to these new forums so members wouldn't need to go searching for them. I could also technically leave the Lap band and DS Food and Nutrition forums as is and wouldn't need to combine them. This could work. Can you please create descriptions for each forum/sub-forum ? I can add a list of available Tags or possibly even topic pre-fixes for members to select from within each forum. Please provide the list per forum and I'll get them added as well.
  11. There's a pretty simple explanation to your problem. You have Lap-Band as your selected surgery within your Member Profile! I went ahead and updated it for you. You should now see only Gastric Sleeve topics. For others with this similar problem.....Please read about how you can fix that here! Or, follow these steps: Click here or on the wheel icon to the right of your username at the upper right corner of the page. Select “My Patient Profile” from the dropdown menu. From the drop-down menu near “Surgery,” select your surgery type. If you would like to receive content from all other surgery types, check the box. If you do not want to receive content from other surgery types, leave the box unchecked. Click on “Save Changes” at the bottom of the page.
  12. I'm surprised how often spam topics go unreported. Thank you Madam for the many reports you've submitted.
  13. The Duodenal Switch should now be an option you can select within your member profile.
  14. Welcome! The DS forum is new. We plan on adding it as a surgical option in your profile and signup over the next 2-5 days. I'll let you know once it's live.
  15. Upper, mid or lower back ? Right or left side ?
  16. It's a laugh out loud funny concept but mark my words, wearable tech is definitely arriving in the near future.
  17. Click on My Tickers in drop down under your name at the top of our web site:
  18. Maybe it's this topic ? Use Advanced Search and in Match select "only search in titles". Search for Kansas or Kansas city.
  19. I think you're referring to the Kansas City Sleevers Group.
  20. It hangs every time you post ? Occasionally ? Any and all details you're able to provide are greatly appreciated.
  21. Please restart the app and let me know if this is a recurring issue.
