Our school is putting on the play Bye Bye Birdie this week! I am going to try to go, but it is not lookin good. I get my fill (finally) on Thursday which is opening day.

I wish! I MUST check emails at least every 48 hours, as per my Walden contract. Other than checking emails (students will know I am gone), no work, no puters, only fun!!! I wonder if the site will crash w/out all the violet posts???

You can carry on a lap top. You just need to put it out on the security scan thingy. If you bring your laptop, can I pop on and check my Walden email?

Hey Violets~ We had a great time last night. Had a couple (male) over for drinks and appetizers (yummy spinach dip from Costco). Had a few Vodka and diet cokes, Susanne had 1 beer. Then they invited us to go out to dinner. But first we needed to stop by this gay bar, because Rob's softball team was doing a fundraiser to travel to Seattle. Anyway, there was a drag show going on. It was soooo funny. We had another drink and watched the show while Rob sold tickets! (I ran into a dear friend of mine, who just finihsed his dissertation and is in 2nd round of revisions). Then we went to dinner! At 9:30pm! Susanne and I usually eat about 5pm, sometimes earlier. But it was nice to do that...something different. (I had the chix picatte, 2/3 is in fridge now, lol) Long story long...it was a fun night! Today, we are up before 6 am, watered, and jumped on LBT. Susanne is already doing laundry and reading the paper. We weren't sure if MIL was coming today or not, so we have no real plans. Perhaps a movie later. Michelle~ I am looking forward to meeting which ever Michelle arrives! I can't believe it is sooo close! I have an infected toe from where I clipped a cuticle too close. Then, from wearing shoes for 2-3 days, now it is fully infected and KILLING ME! I may need some meds, but have been soaking it and using peroxide. Planning on wearing thongs all weekend. I need to get it fixed so I can get my pedi before our trip! OK...I am rambling! I hope everyone has a great weekend! xoxoxoxoxo

Hey All, I am here too! Just busy. S has moved in:biggrin: completely and will be fully retired from military mid May! I am meeting a group of people from here in May in Texas! Working on doctorate degree still and trucking along. Not doing so great on weight loss...but I will kick it in soon, especially next Thurs w/ a fill! xoxoxoxoox

I got into it w/ a friend yesterday at this fund raiser event. We buy these tickets, and then they call out numbers and winners get to PICK these beautiful baskets (full of goodies). Well Susanne won first!!! But she is shy and told me to go up and pick one. My friend won second. She comes up and is "looking w/ me" (or so I thought)...she tells me, "hey, there is a movie one w/ passes down there." I go over to look, and then she takes the one I was really looking at (w/ wine, olives, a baggot of bread, beautiful basket). I turn around from looking at the movie one (FULL OF CANDY AND MOVIE PASSES) which I didn't want, and she was gone w/ the basket I wanted. I was pissed and didn't hide it well. I think, I should have picked first since I (well susanne) won first. THERE, NOW THAT I'VE TYPED IT...I FEEL BETTER. Of course, she was like, oh, take this one, if you want it. Then she was alll defensive cause I was obviously pissed. Which, then I had to say, "oh no, I don't give a shit...blahblahblah" I think what I was really pissed about after the whole thing was how she turned it around like I was the "bad guy" and I ended up apologizing. Hey Violetas~ I have a logistics question??? I get in at like 2ish, and Judy a short bit later. Tracy is our "driver" pick up gal. My question is...where do we all meet? Is there a fountain or certain landmark in SA airport? How will we know where to go. I mean, if there is afountain say, I can ask anybody, "hey, where is the fountain?" Or are our drivers picking us up at the gate when we deplane? Just wondering, especially since I don't really know anyone. Oddly, I think I could pick all the violets out of a line-up (which is a topic for another post, lol) but in a crowded airport...maybe it will be harder. Anyone been to SAT??? Any ideas?

Morning Violets~ I did not get a fill yesterday. Long story, but I got very sick during 7th period...so much so, I spent the entire period in the potty (thank goodness Cindy was on her prep...I owe her). Anyway, I had a very important meeting afterschool, so I had to take 2 Imodium (will I ever go potty again?). I was sick, dry mouth, head spinning...cold sweats...yuck. The culprit??? Iced sugar free coffee from McD's. I was online researching how many calories were in this "sugar free" beast, cause it tasted soooo good. Too good. They have the nutritional value for the regular coffees, but not the sugar free. Anyway, I WONT be having one of those again anytime soon! I slept in a bit. Gotta run now. Hey Girlies~ I missed you all today. Hate LBT w/drawls...they are bad. I posted this morning and then WHAMO...the whole site pooped out! I had about 25 LBT pop up screens and I could not stop it. I ended up control/alt/delete just to get 'em to stop. Janie and Tracy~ Did you notice when Shelia was "bawling" that her entire face was dry?!? WTF...was she auditioning for something. Good Morning Violets~ Susanne left yesterday...and comes back today! She only has until the 15 of May...and we are both counting the minutes. She does take quite a bit of time off...she has a BAD case of "senioritis" and just doesn't want to be there anymore! I have my study group tonight! I posted grades for Walden last night and can focus on diss for the next 2 days. I'd like to take a few days off, but...I am going on a trip in May to Texas. Perhaps I've mentioned it to ya'll:rolleyes::tt2:. So I can't take too many days now. Susie~ I am saying prayers for your family now...but especially for you. I've beeen a caregiver to two people at the same time. All the while I was a beginning teacher AND getting my master's degree. I know what you are going through. Take some deep breaths from time to time, come to LBT, take a walk...whatever you need for YOU. ((hugs)) I am trying to figure out Terry's spreadsheet...but I need extra help, lol. OK...I've figured out the pix. I actually spent 10 min trying to figure out how to plug the camera into the puter, then remembered I only put the memory card into the puter. What an idiot! Hopefully Judy can work her magic and post them for you all. Kat~ When you were talking about planting, it was like another language. We planted 2 gardenia bushes and some pretty flowers. I don't have a clue what they were/are. I don't know what a bulb is...I do know these are annual flowers and we will have to replant them next year, but they have great color! Tracy~ Loved the show, but now, we are down...it is kinda boring. I hope Ryan wins. I like Sharon BUT HER VOICE KILLS ME! I am just so glad Natalie is gone.
