I have been through my six months of dieting, labs and everything...I had my bariatric doctor submit everything to BCBS of Florida State Plan. I am worried that I am going to get approved. There is no reason for me to get denied but I have the jitters. My worry is that they wont approve the sleeve procedure. I know that the approve for gastric bypass but that is not something I want to do. Is there anyone else that has had vertical sleeve surgery where BCBC of Florida paid for it??????

Hi Deb! I think you were the one I was looking for! You had your surgery by Dr. Jawad. I am having to wait six months for my insurance to approve me. I am in my second month seeing the nutritionist there. My next appt isnt until July 27th. Do you go to the support meetings that they have there? I would like to go to one. I have been reading tons of books and info but I have tons more questions to ask!! Hope to hear from you soon!!! Jaime

Hi Sarah, My name is Jaime and I am in the same boat you are in. I started my 6 months last month. My next appointment is July 27th. The waiting is the hard part! I have been reading lots of books and preparing myself (mentally right now) for the day of my surgery! Keep your head up...6 months will go by fast! Jaime

Hi DEB!!! Dr. Jawad is who I am having it done by. I am glad that you contacted me. I can loose weight if I don't feel hungry. I am 216 lbs and would love to get down to 150. How long did it take for you to start exercising??

Hi I am a newbie from Ocala, Florida who is contemplating gastric sleeve surgery. I am interested in how your body adjusts right after surgery and weeks after surgery. I am wanting to chat with someone who has had the sleeve surgery and can tell me what to expect weeks after. I am very scared but know I need to get it done for health reasons. I want to know if you experienced hunger or felt full. I have read lots on websites and have talked to my doctor but want to really know from someone who has had it done. Thanks!!!
