    Flipped Port

I was banded on May 12th and my port flipped within the 2nd month. I had my port revision done on Aug. 26 in outpatient surgery. I was in and out. He moved port lower. So far, so good. He was able to remove the Fluid and replaced it during surgery. To keep me on track, he did a refill in three weeks. Alls is good now, I have about 5 cc in my band and actually went back last month to get a small unfill. I'm ready for another tomorrow.....I hope he finds it easy. Best wishes to you.
  2. We were banded the same day. I'm on mushy food (kind of). I understand your pain....this part is so mental. I drinking the Protein drinks and have laughing cow cheese as a snack and tunafish w/ crackers, Jello, applesauce, eggs. I can have grits or oatmeal, but I'm watching the carbs. I've had my good and bad days. Tonight, I'm hungry too.....it's been so long since I've had bread. I continue because I can see the weight coming off now. Best wishes to you. Question: are we suppose to wait to drink on the mushy stage too?

    Banded on May 19th

I am only 9 days out from being banded. It's the gas that you are feeling. They pump air into our bodies to be able to move the instruments around. Try getting some Gas-x and do as much walking as you can. Maybe 10 mins every hour. This helped me a lot. I thought I was doing and stopped the Gas x and on thursday, I could see my stomach getting bigger. It's hurt so bad, so I'm back on them and yesterday was great. Take it slow and it will all come out. Try a heating pad too. It will help if it reaches your shoulders. finallyfor me_

    Right after surgery

I had my surgery on 5/12 and had very little pain afterwards. I did walk every chance I got. The hardest part was the gas in my left shoulder. It seem to come out on it's own now. I use the pain meds for the day after and part of Saturday. I returned to work Monday for about 5 hours and today for a full day. I really feel good and I'm even cooking for my family tonight. Everyone is different. I will say that I had a pretty strong core prior to surgery.
  5. Cathylynn23, I so know what your talking about. I had my surgery on Thursday and have battled the "head hungry" all day today. I only had to stay on clear liquids for two days. Today was my first day of full liquids and I must say that it really didn't help. I'm sticking to it. I would check with your doctor to see if you can add some Protein power to your clear liquids. Even though I feel hungry, I have been sipping on the same cup of Soup since Noon. best wishes, finally for me~!
