  1. When you get tightly restricted (if that's what you choose) it can be like a delicate ballet keeping the band and stoma happy & healthy! If I want to stay tight, I have to eat soooooo very slowly. I'm not kidding when I say it takes me 45 minutes to eat. And I chew the dickens out of every bite when I'm eating 'solid' food. Hmmmmm. Eat Slowly. Chew chew chew. Where have I heard that before???
  2. I think this is it, Tracy.......... Purple Heart (Purple Queen, Tradescantia pallida aka Setcreasea pallida or purpurea). http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/1160/ http://davesgarden.com/guides/articles/view/171/
  3. I've got folks working on it Tracy! Lemme tell you though, here in Texas that stuff spreads and grows like weeds...and can be hard to control.
  4. ((((Kat))))) I'm just so happy for you!!! Sounds like you're finally getting to feeling a bit normal again. Amazing recovery! Well done!
  5. Ain't no way on God's green earth I'd be able to eat a whole tuna on a bagel. I can only eat 1/2 scoop of tuna salad and about 6 crackers. Yep, sounds like you need another fill....but(!) be prepared for some modification to your eating behavior!! You're getting close!
  6. Congratulations, Michelle!!! You've done such an amazing job and you are one beautifully curvy babe!! If you never lost another pound, you'd be perfect just the way you are! You have so much to be proud of!! Kat! Oy! I can't imagine sneezing with a fresh TT!! i remember that feeling when I had the band surgery. Wise words (once again!) for Tracy! I hope she's listening!!! Pamela - did I miss it? What happened at the docs office yesterday? Scale went down a bit again today!? I have no idea why really....but I'll take it. Love u all! mmmmmmmmmuah!
  7. Yes!! I see very clearly now why that didn't work for ya! Not very sexy!...unless you're a farmer.
  8. You lived on a street called Glitterkiss???
  9. Laura: Try these links: Gruene Market Days general info Gruene Market Days Application (at lease has contact info for coordinator that might be able to help)
  10. You're an eagle eye, Tracy!! Dang! Sharp as a tack! Yeah, funny how when you run out of ice cream and don't replace it, the scale starts moving again!? Who'da thunk it? I'm trying so hard not to eat around my band and play by the rules. I also have been weaning myself off of Lexapro to see if I can be human without it AND to see if they have something to do with my ZERO sex drive and weight stall. Interesting results so far! Yes, Alex was trolling for new moderators (lost a couple) and I told him that I thought you might be interested. He made a couple of leaps ahead and just gave you mod status without actually asking you! I think that was the day of your surgery, so i didn't think there was any point in me telling you..........you wouldn't have remembered!! LOL So, now you're a mod! If you have issues with it, or whatever, just PM Alex. Otherwise, go get 'em girl! I actually resigned last week sometime. Too much aggravation, not enough pay!
  11. Yeah, and god forbid that employee morale and productivity should actually go UP!?!! Tell them they should make it a benefit for anyone with 10+ years at the company! (how many do you have??)
  12. Yeah, Laura -- don't they have to sign a contract stating that they understand that these are RJK colors (or whatever they're called)? I suppose the gap between the know and know-nots is getting wider...but YOU shouldn't be the ones to pay the price!!
  13. Reflux symptoms are so subtle sometimes, aren't they?
  14. Sorry, Haydee...but that commute would be a deal-buster for me! Is there any kind of park and ride thing you could do? Still.... that's 3 hours of your life every day that you can kiss goodbye. Ugh. Not to mention the cost of gas these days! Jeez, can't you work out of the Woodlands or something?? TracyinKS - are you talking about your own TT? I"m lost, as usual. souns to me like Charles wants you to have all the responsibility but none of the authority. Life doesn't work like that.... or, not very well! Didn't get my unfill yesterday... too much crapola going on...again!!
  15. Can't you just download them then make your own CD? That way they'll all be on one....
  16. Jama - I always wait a full two weeks before deciding if a recent fill is too much. Mine just take that long....and keep getting tighter and tighter, then start to settle down again. In that meantime, i stick with liquids and mushies as much as possible. I have been 'on the fence' with this fill since February. Actually, I didn't go in for an unfill yesterday as scheduled because of other commitments and, wouldn't you know it, my band has settled down (again!), I'm eating solid food (properly!), and have lost a pound! Round and round we go.....
  17. Gawd, I hope you're not talking the Medical Center!! That would be a hellish commute!! Ok, give me a list.... pros and cons.... why aren't you jumping on that job??? Change is scary sometimes. But you gotta "go thru it to get to it"....y'know??
  18. Hey Girls! Pamela -- you got 1.2 cc's on your last fill?? Shit! No wonder you were sick like a dog!! At this stage my doctor gives me 0.1-0.2cc at each adjustment!!! Teeny tiny adjustments can make a very big difference! Keep an eye on that doctor!! TracyK -- It's all good, girlfriend. In the words of my guru, MJ Ryan: Good stuff, eh? Tracy - Robby's getting around OK? Is this a new attitude for DH toward Cody? Uh, did Cody really think he'd be able to pull that one off....calling in sick for an all day detention? LOL Time to face the music, kid! My son has one more day of high school left. He is SO ready to be out of the "public education system' as he calls it! No rest for the weary, however, as he starts summer college classes on Monday! HA!
  19. This girl is not exactly worried about YOUR family too much, is she!?! Jeez. I don't like her already.
  20. Ah, Love is in the air!!! LOL Better you than me, sister. Hey, maybe if your parents smoke like chimneys the other parents will whine and forbid them to be married. I mean, what have they got to lose???!?! :confused2: Ta hell with that! Is it striped with lots of holes? That's mine.... I bequeath it to your dog or your car washing pile. I don't need it back. Dang! I HATE it that I can't see pics at work!!! Dammit! Which pic is it??
  21. I can relate to people telling you to cheer up all the time! I got that a lot too. Mine was mostly caused by the deep wrinkles between my brows and now only made worse by sagging eyelids caused by natural aging. I was amazed at how the botox de-wrinkled my whole brow, not just between them. And because my surgeon knew just where to place the needle I also got a little mini brow lift as well....meaning my eyelids have a higher arch to them now! My botox treatment cost $325 here in Houston, but I"m sure that varies widely.... also depends on how many areas you are treating. Is it worth $100/month? Only if you have it to spare!!! I wouldn't take it out of the family food budget!
  22. Thank you, Lisa!!! Wise words!
  23. Oh, I was so tempted to sign up for this, too...but i resisted. I have 2 teenagers and they are suckin' me dry!!!:smile2:
  24. watermelon can be tricky for some. tiny bites, chew well.... you know the drill!
  25. Thank you for the tips, Dr. Schulman!! I'll keep them in mind when I go for my touch-ups!
