Morning! I'm going in to the post office this morning to pick up a certified letter. I got one of those notices in my mailbox and all it says is that it's for "Parrish" and from "Attorneys"! Aaack! The only thing I can think of is that awhile back my aunt asked for my SS# because (I guess) I was named in my other aunt's will!! Now, I've got about 25 cousins on that side of my family and I was not particularly close to this aunt but she was childless and apparently pretty wealthy. <shrug> So I'm making a bee-line over there this morning! I hope I'm not getting sued by someone!! Jenn - that's good news about the unemployment. When do you think you might find out about whether or not they will open a new office? Kat - How's Kinsey doing in her new school? I bet she misses you fiercely.

But in it I was suggesting to you that you get creative with marketing your business since it has dropped off. Since you have so many years experience but yet charge ridiculously low fees, I think you should capitalize on that and let the neighborhood know! Let your customers know that you need to drum up some more business and ask them to spread the word and give them a coupon for referring a friend...something like that. I know that Dave Ramsey recommends a book called "Guerilla Marketing" (?) ...might want to look it up. Ya'll have a good day!

Ok, so anyone wanna see my DD's new boyfriend in action??? He's a drummer!!! And he's in a band!!! That actually plays gigs around town!!! Aaaack!! Yes, he's only 15 and I DO like him....very sweet kid and is crazy about my daughter and very good to her. Just happens to be a drumming prodigy of sorts... He's just a kid with very supporting, loving parents. His drum set is in their living room!! Can you imagine? This club he's playing, Fitzgeralds, I've been to many, many, many times in my younger days! AAAAACKKK!!! I won't tell him that.

I always wondered why you don't hear more about people stealing fed ex boxes from front porches... or why fedex doesn't make more of an effort to "hide" them at least a little bit. :scared2: All those years I bought stuff on ebay....probably over 500 deliveries...never had anything missing from my front porch...but apparently that was just dumb luck! So nice of your thieves to leave the package for you. They could have just taken it and opened it once they got home!

I've been thinking about this (for me) a lot today: I realized that I am shooting for that feeling of 'fullness' like the old pre-band days. If it takes me 45 minutes or an hour to eat what's on my plate, by God that's how long I will eat!! If I'm eating non-slider foods it takes me forever to finish a meal. If I eat slider foods (read: full of fat) then I can eat in 30 minutes or so AND I get that yummy feeling of fullness to boot. SOOOOooo... guess what I choose to eat 90% of the time? That's called 'eating around the band'! SOLUTION: Protein + Veggies, 20 minute meal...TOPS. Sound familiar? I'm gettin' there. Not there yet, but I'm getting there. Gym, too.

I'm hungry!! What's for breakfast everyone? Well I worked on scheduling the rest of my vacation (I get 5 weeks!), cramming it into the next 5 months and that has helped my attitude a wee bit. Have a bit of travel planned in there too...so I might just make it after all without going totally insane. I wish I could jet off like Haydee or Judy, though. Man! What a life that would be. My DH is vacation-resistent...don't ask me why. So I generally plan little trips here and there with friends, but no big fancy vacations with my DH... not even a weekend away. <shrug> <sigh> Oh well. Things could be worse! I'm still hungry. Guess I'll go make my breakfast. Cottage cheese and pineapple this morning. :thumbdown: Love ya's!

Michelle's in charge of the food/menu I'll volunteer to cook one night -- it would be fun! The way we do it at the river where we have 20 people to feed, we have 4 groups, each cooking one night. Works out great!
