  1. Thank you everyone! Soup and conversation..got it!
  2. I'm going on a date but I'm worried he will think something is wrong when I order a meal and take literally two bites and be done. I've lost 88lbs but I am still over weight so I'm just afraid he's going to think something is up at dinner. Anyone have any suggestions to make this as least awkward as possible?
  3. SW 296 and I am 3 months out today CW 252. Couldn't have done it without the sleeve :-)
  4. Congratulations on the loss! :-)
  5. Maybe it's because I'm on liquids but I cannot stand listening to people eat and chew. It annoys the crap out of me! My place isn't that big and I can hear my son or boyfriend eat at the table and it grosses me out, I just want to walk over and smack the food out of their mouths. Sorry for my lame vent session Sincerely Bitter Betty

  8. It's definitely tough smelling the food my family is cooking, I almost get angry because I can't eat with them but you're all correct...this is temporary and mushie stage will fill my lil tummy. I like the mashed potato idea thx :-) Thanks for all your support. It is very much appreciated :-)
  9. I am currently taking pepcid. I can't wait for mushies stage but you ladies are correct and I know sticking to my post op diet will be worth it in the end. Thank you ladies for the support! :-)
  10. Getting my liquids in no problem but I'm sooo hungry for regular food. I'm daydreaming about chicken and seafood! A little part of me is wishing my last meal wasnt sushi, I should've went all out. Now I have to wait another week before starting mushies then 2 more weeks for regular food. :-/
  11. Thx everyone, right now I'm just starving but I believe in what everyone says that everything will get better :-)
  12. I went to the hospital and next thing i know im waking up post op room. I'm in so much pain, I'm taking it one hour at a time. I think the pain is from all the gas. I've been forcing myself to walk around the halls every 2 hrs and it helps.

  16. I still can't believe I'm so close to having my surgery. I will be the first to have surgery that day. The Dr. should be well rested after the day after the 3 day Memorial day weekend (unless he is on call). I am so excited and nervous at the same time.
  17. Completed my 6 month diet, blood work and psych eval and now pre-op diet starts tomorrow! I am choosing not to share my surgery with any friends, co-workers or family...the only person who knows is my fiance. I don't want to tell them until I'm at least half way to my goal, I just don't want any negative comments about my surgery that I have waited so long and worked so hard to get. Thanks everyone for sharing your stories.

  24. Tstew, thank you for sharing your experience. I've met with him and seems to genuinely care. I'm almost done with my supervised diet and hope to get a date within the next 2months. I'm sorry to hear your insurance didn't cover the surgery but I'm glad you were still able to have it.
