  1. June 7th for me too!!! I feel exactly the same way......
  2. I'm definitely scared as well. I'm getting close, June 7th is my scheduled surgery. I'm reading everything I can find and getting my grocery list ready....setting up my support network...but I'm still so nervous about the surgery. You're not alone! the posts here are so helpful
  3. Well, I had my CT-A scan last week, got the results yesterday and my December 2010 bilateral pulmonary embolism clots have fully dissolved I am going off of coumadin at the end of May and have been cleared for June 7th sleeve surgery. My surgeon has decided to have a removable vena cava filter placed to reduce the risk of another embolism. It worries me having another procedure, but gives me some comfort at the same time. I'll keep you posted on how things go after the surgery. Wish me luck!
  4. June 7th with Dr. Naim in LA.......getting so nervous!!!
  5. Well, I too am not going to answer your question, but merely add my same concern. I actually had a DVT/Bilateral Pulmonary Embolism in December 2010, and am currently scheduled for VST on June 7th. I'm having a CT scan today, and a meeting with my pulmonologist next Wednesday. He is aware of my surgery and is a supporter, and is very closely involved in making sure I am ready. I will post back next week to let you know what his advice is at my CT followup appointment.
  6. Hi Mana---Wondering how everything is going for you? I too, have PCOS and am scheduled for surgery on June 7th. I'm nervous but excited.
  7. Hi...my first post! I am scheduled for VSG surgery on June 7, 2011 with Dr. Naim in LA/Orange County. I am excited and nervous. It seems like every surgeon is a little bit different, but I actually don't start my pre-op diet until 3 weeks before my surgery. Does this seem unusual? I also had a bi-lateral pulmonary embolism in December, so my surgery is being coordinated with my pulmonologist to make sure all goes well, and I'll have to be extremely diligent after surgery to ensure I do everything I am supposed to in order to avoid another blood clot. I am hopeful that the surgery will help with my diabetes and PCOS. I've done a lot of reading on this forum and other websites....but any personal advice from people who have actual experience would be much appreciated!!
