  3. I am not having the problem of getting to all the pages in a post. Just plane freaky! Congrats on your 140's dear!.... just in case you can get this!
  4. HI guys! I am visiting from the VST side of things. (sleeve talk) I think there are some "haters" for sure, but you have to keep in mind that the only banders that visit the sleeve section, are those with horror stories, that are looking into revising to the sleeve, or have already done so. I doubt most really "hate" those that get the band, but fear for the results that we mostly hear about, or the idea of having a foreign body inside, and continuing visits to the doc. Like you said, not all surgeries fit all people! Being hateful is never good form. For heavens sakes! I had 85 percent of my stomach removed! Who am I to blast anyone trying to get healthy! I am very happy at 3 years out, just got to goal... went through a regain at one point (of 22 pounds) but thats back off and all is well. I think if you have seen the stats, and can live with the possible complications and rules, then more power to you whatever choice you make!
  5. OK Marty is gone and my pic is back. I went to the edit profile/ signature function and replaced her. The ticker on the other hand, is still MIA. Laura, you have a blue question mark thing on yours, is this perhaps the pic you are talking about?
  6. Hot Mess! I can't even imagine having to sort this all out. I'm feeling for you Alex and Susan! I have to admit, I feel a little like I'm living in a disaster zone while here... Someone send in the emergency dogs to sniff out the lost VSTers! I will be handing out Water and blankets in the how was your 5:2 day thread later... I'm going in..... to try and liberate Marty 7 from my signature line.....
  7. My computer shows you on page 51 here... I got there with no problem, but is that you in the pic?
  8. Wow! Can anyone else see how my last post is so crazy looking? Here is a screen shot of it....this is just a small part of it!... and I still have the photo of the "other woman" in my signature as well....
  9. bookmark this? http://www.bariatricpal.com/index.php/forum/739-eating-the-52-way/
  10. I see you as a Gastric Sleeve....
  11. That lady is Marty 7... I don't know her but she posted that in 2010. As far as your warning post.... Go figure! I have none, and say s*it all the time.
  12. wait, yours says you are a gastric sleeve patient, but the others... gastric band....
  13. We are all lapbands, and I have a pic of someone else in my signature. (She is very cute... but not me!) I also have a line in my Avatar list that says "0 warning points" Ha! Nice to know!
  14. haskell7, I sugest you post this in a lap-band thread, andI believe this thread is more funny repartee among sleevers, and less serious... I don't know how long you have had the band, but here is the bands vets thread.... try there.... http://www.bariatricpal.com/forum/357-lap-band-veterans-forum-new-forum/
  15. ...hijack here... I just noticed we are ALL lap band patients .... WTF? Do you all see that too? When I logged in, it took me to the lap band forums....
  16. I didn't have an extended pre-op diet, except to write everything down for two weeks(to show I could do it), and two days of liquids for the liver before surgery.
  17. I have lost all the regain and a few more, so I am at the high end of my "bounce" range-goal! Thanks!
  18. Someone elses picture is attached to my signature line now.... and mine is missing there... you must be having a nightmare! (Marty S is the owner of the picture....) Kim, feedyoureye
  19. Alex has put me in the lapband section.... I like the colors, but never had a lapband!
  20. They are changing it over tonight. The VST forum will largely be the same, but there will be other parts of the site dedicated to other types of surgery, and a place we can all talk together as well.
  21. The pre pro-op helps shrink the liver and prove to the doctor that you can follow directions. Sucks I know.... but you will look back soon enough, and it will be just a blip on the radar, and your ticker will show all that weight flying off.... try to set your mind to something else, read, TV, hand work, gardening....take your measurements now, you will love having them when the scale slows down now and then....
  22. Our local Y also offers belly dance classes! So fun, and size/age does not matter.
  23. I bought the Brown sugar... I use it to make a few things, mostly baked goods.... I love salted caramel and the chocolate really does taste chocolaty!
