  1. Foxbins! You have done SO well! Any adventures coming up?
  2. Awesome! Best of luck to you with your journey.
  3. could also be kidneys...My back pain went away with the weight too. High protein is hard on the kidneys.
  4. Th ebig difference between this method, and those is... statistically, you can keep the weight off with the sleeve. I don't care how fast I lose it... as long as I lose it... then keep it off! Keep up the good work people.
  5. Honestly, you will just not know for sure until you get your sleeve. Everyone is different one way or an other. I can eat a cup and a half.... of soup or protein drink... or sliders..... but if I use the sleeve right.... protein first, don't drink with meals, and when I want more bulk... I add veggies or low calorie stuff...I like a big salad.... it works.
  6. She got a wide range of support, I believe it was ALL support, just different styles. Sometimes when a child is heading to touch the hot stove , a loving mom might YELL at the top of her lungs to intervene. Some children will only hear that style when in danger. Not my style, but remarkably, I think this site is pretty much supportive almost all of the time. ...And I don't want to imply anyone is a child here...or a yelling mother... just a communication style example...
  7. Traders has a white stilton with dried apricots.... mixed in a kale, blueberry and walnut salad... TO DIE FOR.
  8. It is saying you don't even need to eat it, you just need to taste it... and artificial sweeteners don't work.
  9. Try sitting up very straight when you drink....this helps pull any bends or kinks out of my tummy, and makes it easier for the liquid (or food for that matter) to go down and empty out. Works for me.
  10. Yes you can. It is unsalted and un sweetened, so you can salt it and add a sweetener if you llke, with the Water... it comes out nice and creamy without the oil. This is the stuff I use. http://www6.netrition.com/protein_plus_peanut_flour.html 110 cals and 16 gms Protein a 1/4 cup!

  12. Most likely your breast size will change a LOT after surgery, you might want to reverse the order of your procedures....Look in the "girls gone wild" folder here for breast stories...
  13. [quote name=Lisa ' timestamp='1329627717' post='271380] Edamame is one of my favorite Snacks and has been for years!!! It's a complete Protein packed with all the essential amino acids. Fresh edamame is the best but I will often buy the pre cooked bags in the frozen section at Trader Joe's and heat them up in the microwave. I then throw some sea salt on them...YUM!!! TJs have them in the freezer section in the pod and out. Great snack. I like playing with my food, and these fill the bill!
  14. You will do great! I have a 36 that is even bigger at the pyloris end. My doc said this lowers several problems... including reflux and keeping food down. Just use it and it will work for you.
  15. Canola, walnut and flax oils are rich in omega3 seitan- 26 grams of protein per 4-ounce serving TVP- A 1/4 cup serving of Bob's Red Mill TVP contains 12 g of protein. In comparison, 1 1/2 oz. of chicken breast contains 10 g of protein So good mixed with a sugar free flavored syrup for desert. Some brands of Peanut flour has even more protein than PB2 and is good too. (PB2 contains sugar)
  16. Keep in mind your stomach had the nerve ending cut. You may not be able to feel what is going on in there when you eat what you have been eating. Just because you CAN put fast food in there, does not mean no damage is being done. Get help, in a few weeks you will be able to eat more variety. After 6 weeks the stomach is mostly healed.
  17. Liquids are your medicine now. You have to have them. Have you tried different temperatures? Warm camomile or mint tea were easier for me, and not sweet. Warm broth? If you can't get in enough liquids, please go and get an IV. You do not want to get dehydrated.
  18. Watermelon is a high glycemic index food, which means it loads sugar quickly into the blood and might get an insulin response. That being said, last summer, I ate some almost every day and lost weight, I would just watch and see if it makes you hungry, or if your labs are high. If you have it with a protein, it will help to slow the sugar response. I would eat it rather than drink it....
  19. This is what I have seen in studies too, a three year bounce is common.
  20. Some great advice here! I am now losing as slow as a snail. I am giving myself the whole year to lose my last 7 pounds. It might even take longer than that at this speed! I am also not on a "diet" though I do write down what I eat and do exercise regularly. I know I can keep this up, and I won't jump ship because I'm tired of the way I am eating. Would I like to lose it NOW? He11 yes. Its human nature to want what you want now.
  21. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/02/14/bpa-chemical-hormone-obesity-diabetes_n_1276996.html Interesting!
  22. So sorry Coops, you are so right... now is the time to reflect and think about life. I have also lost students. You take care.
