  1. Good Morning, guys ... I have insomnia from all the excitement. I have to be at the hospital at 0600 so wish me luck. Best of luck to all the other Novembers :-)
  2. I was told Protein shakes for Breakfast and lunch then swig the magnesium citrate at 2pm. Then it's Clear Liquids only until midnight. After midnight nothing ... not even sips for meds. I finally wrapped up work and can totally start focusing on the procedure and my new lifestyle. Now that I've started the bowel prep, it's starting to seem more real.
  3. WOW … tomorrow’s the day. Today, I only work until 12pm and then I’m coming home to start the bowel prep. It’s almost time to start my new life!
  4. Yah ... another November 2nd :-)
  5. Congrats on your surgery date!
  6. Excellent ~ Thanks for the link!
  7. Had my pre-op labs done today. My to-do list is complete ... Now all we have is surgery next Tuesday ... Yeah, it's finally here
  8. Yes. I believe Atkins calls them Net Carbs; whereas, Protein Power call them ECC :-)
  9. I've used protein pills before (Whey To Go); however, I'm still pre-op. I don't know how anyone could take these post-op b/c they're huge.
  10. Because I'm a diabetic, I count ECC (effective carb count) which is carbs - fiber. For an ECC of 1, this product is worth it for me.
  11. Had my pre-op appt today. Now I'm just one more appt away from surgery. Got to get my pre-op labs next Wednesday and then surgery on 11/02 ... it's almost here!!!

  13. Congrats on your date ... some of us Novembers have been posting in the "Any Novembers Yet?" thread.
  14. Best wishes ... keep us in the loop :-)
  15. Best wishes ... let us know how it goes.
  16. Thank you for sharing such great detail ... Best wishes!
  17. I am so sorry that you've not received the support you deserved. Thank goodness for forums such as this ... we completely understand what you're going through. Keep your chin up :-)
  18. I want to kick Diabetes' a$$
  19. I'm going through this, right now. I lost 30 lbs on my own before seeing the surgeon and I was doing great. After my first appt, I was told to stop losing weight b/c my BMI is on the low side. I spent the last 1-1.5 months not worrying about what I ate and now I'm trying to get back on track. Boy is this hard. Much harder than I thought it would be. With me, it's a mindset. I just have to get my head back on straight. Best of luck!
  20. Excellent news ... congrats!
