  3. Hey Molly - Welcome and good luck! I'm glad your getting as much info as possible - people here are very helpful. You are so close to 40 it would be a shame for you not to qualify. I belive you should. Worst case scenario - wear heavy clothes like the lady said or God forbid, gain another lb but I didn't say that. : ) Keep us posted - I'm sure you'll get approved.

  6. Welcome and continued luck. I say scales smells. LOL have a Great Christmas NLBG!
  7. Living in a 2 story has it's perks for kids - for example, they run around upstairs and have pretty much gotten use to US parents yelling orders to them which they never obey. Sometimes I've been met with challenges such as a child shouting back and running up the stairs knowing that I will not be behind them. Well not anymore. At 20 lbs lighter - I shocked the heck out of my 4 year old when I told him to go brush his teeth. He proceeded to run up the stairs shouting "NO MONNA, YOU BRUSH YOUR TEETH". The look on his face was priceless when he got to the top stair, turned around and was face to face with MOMMA. LOL His tune changed quickly. Needless to say I was sweating and possibly on the verge of passing out but I managed to insight fear where there use to be none. Team MOM 1 Kids O. (LOL)
  8. HEY THERE! I'm laughing because I felt the exact same way. I've therefore been going it alone. I was banded Oct 25th and have lost 20lbs thus far. I've had two adjustments (I'm up to 7 cc's) and I'm scheduled for my 3rd next week. I've had NO problems whatsoever, pre/post surgery. I guess I'm a trooper. Can't wait till my 3rd adjustment. The Dr. said that's when the "real action" kicks in. Then I'll probably submit post about vomiting, depression and possibly regret. LOL Kidding. Hang in there 001. Seeing that your 15lbs down thus far - your doing GREAT. Don;t buy too many new clothes just yet for you;ll soon be donating those as well. (LOL)
  9. Please don't fret. You sound like me - I had 2 C-Sections and my Gall bladder removed but in 6 years. I was banded on Oct 25, 2011 and I am up and kicking, feeling great and so will you.
  10. Banded Oct 25th and I can say since day of banding - I feel overall GOOD. I don't know if it was the excitement of a new life beginning or the long wait till I was finally was banded but the pain had been minimal and bearable. I've been dealing with gas and the ever so famous shoulder pains. With 3 children and husband this also keep me from focusing on the pain. I say to all - it will get better - keep a positive outlook and know this pain too shall pass.
  11. I'm scheduled for Oct 25th to be banded. I'm so excited and now nervous since I found out they changed my surgeon.
  12. Ugh! Dr's submitted paperwork to Aetna August 10, 2011. Denied on August 16, 2011 - they waste no time saying "NO". LOL Appeal office submitted paperwork today September 13, 2011 So excited - will be SHOCKED, if I get denied again. My paperwork was solid. BMI 37, Hypertension, Severe Sleep Apnea, family history of diabetes. I'm very optimistic that I will be approved. Will sound off the response when it comes. I'm excited!
