  1. I don't see any harm with that. You shouldn't deprive yourself of everything.
  2. Wow! You guys are so lucky! Im 4 months out and ive only lost 27 pounds total. However I weighed 197 at the time of surgery, so I'm considered a light weight and supposedly will lose slower.
  3. Wow, thank guys for the encouragement! Your advice sounds about right. I do exercise, but not like I should. So I will step up my exercising and protein. I will stop snacking!!! Thanks so much! I feel better. Oh @ Tiffykins, I'm 5 feet tall. I did lose 5 lbs preop, so actually I've lost about 27 pounds total since Jan. So I guess that's not too bad after all huh?.
  4. Hello guys, So I was sleeved Jan. 18 2011. I weighed in at 194. Today I weighed in at 172. I just dont get it, I barely eat, I get most of my protein and water in and I take my vitamins. I do admit somedays I snack on a candybar or chips, but I NEVER go over 800 calories! How is it possible to only have lost 22 pounds. SOme people loss that in one month. Im getting so discouraged, I feel like Ive failed. Now, Im please with the weight loss but it dont seem like its coming offf fast enough. I had plans to be on the beach in a bikini this summer. It dont look like thats happening, at least not this summer. Also I heard the first few months is when the most weight loss comes off. Im scared that if I dont loss all I should now, I wont get no where near my goal! TIFFYKINS PLEASE HELP....lol
  5. Well I'm back to complain again! I was sleeved on Jan.18 2011, weighing 194..today I weigh 172..that's only 22 pounds in 3 months! I know I don't get in all my protein but I also barely eat. How can we consume so little food and not loss weight much faster? Im thankful for the progress but I should be down at least 40 pounds by now.
  6. I feel your pain...same stall here!
  7. What was your starting weight? I'm stuck at 175
  8. Weight normally comes off first on the smaller parts of your body. For example, your face, neck area, and arms.
  9. @lilmissdiva...thanks, I have been stressed a lot about bills. I recently loss my job, and financial worries have had me stressed out. I started a new job last week so hopefully things will get better. so I think I will blame some of my slow weight loss on bills
  10. @lilmissdiva...thanks, I have been stressed a lot about bills. I recently loss my job, and financial worries have had me stressed out. I started a new job last week so hopefully things will get better. so I think I will blame some of my slow weight loss on bills
  11. Thank you..that made me come back down to reality!
  12. I was sleeved on 1/18...and I have only lost 20 pounds in 3 months! I don't overeat, I workout, and I get most of my fluids in most days....has anyone experienced this type of slow weight loss? Im starting to feel like I have failed the sleeve.I was only 194 pre op but I still expected more weight loss than this. Please help. Oh I think protein maybe one of my issues, as I'm only getting about 40 grams a day
  13. I think I may be a vsg failure to
  14. Thanks for the input!
  15. What about getting tattoos over your surgery scars? Im thinking about getting small butterflies over the incision sites.
  16. I'm having the same problem ...... I have been at the same weight for almost two months!
  17. I wish I had that problem! Im 2 months out and ive only lost 17 pounds! What was your starting weight and surgery date? How much do you weigh now?
  18. Thanks guys for the encouragement. I will up my protein and water intake. I know Im not overeating, so it has to be the lack of protein and water.
  19. Trust me, I feel your pain...I was sleeved on JAN 18th, weighing 194...Today I weigh 177. Thats only 17LBS in 2 months. I think my problem is not enough fluids. I sure as heck dont overeat, I believe overeating is impossible with the sleeve. Im just really down b/c I expected to be down atleast 25-30 pounds by now. At the rate im losing, I wont be down to the weight I want for months. If you had a lower BMI like me, this is probably why were losing so slow. Best of luck to you!
  20. Ok guys, I've heard about 3 weeks stall but this is ridiculous...I had my surgery on january 18th, weighing 194. Around february first I was down to 178. So I've only lost 16 pounds since Jan 18th!!! This is so discouraging. I know part of the problem is I'm not getting enough protein. So this past week, I started whey protein shakes, 1 shake equals 38 grams of protein. I try to get the remainder of protein from food. Also I have not been able to drink 64oz everyday. Should I try the 5 day pouch test? I'm getting worried that I may have failed the sleeve
  21. Wow...Congrats! Im two months out and I've only lost 20 pounds. Im losing slowly!!! I wanted to have lost 30-40 pounds by now. I started working out last week and I increased my protein, so maybe this will help! Again congrats.
  22. I'm having this same issue. I lost 10 lbs 2 weeks post op and now im 2 months post op and I've only lost 20 pound. As you stated, with the low calorie intake, we should be losing more. I feel ya pain!
  23. I Can eat a half slice of toast just fine
  24. I was like that the first two weeks. This shall past. After about a Month, you will be disgusted just thinking about eating all of that junk. Oh and even better after a month you can actually indulge in some of those comfort foods..I did! It's cheating but hey I couldnt help it. Just remember small bites just to fix your cravings.
