  1. I am pre-surgery, but I have fears like yours too about what happens after surgery. Hey, you recognize how you are messing up and you know that you need to turn it around so you are already on the right track! So you have been off the wagon for a week and a half. Not a huge deal if you turn it around now. It takes a while to create those healthy habits so don't beat yourself up too badly! Keep the praying up too, it works. You have lost 72 lbs and are living an active lifestyle, that is great! Holly
  2. Wow Lynda, you are organized! I have bought some broths, but I bet fresh broth is much better. Can you tell me how to do that (lol not so good in the kitchen). How long do I boil the thing? The ice cube tray is a great idea! I'm buying my slippers / robe today. I've been stocking up on Protein drinks and low fat cream Soups since January so I feel like I'm getting somewhere.
  3. Yes Lynda, we will have to keep up with our healing, successes, progress. I start my liquid diet this Sunday. How about you? Holly
  4. Wow, good wishes to those that have already had surgeries this month and to those with upcoming dates! Mine is May 17 with Dr. Castro in Dallas. Will say a prayer for you tomorrow morning Avalinn. Hang in there Kara! Been watching you on you tube, love the blog. The EAS Protein coupon(s) have come in handy. I printed out 10 of them! Holly

  6. Thanks for the info Foxbins and Beverly. You are quite impressive Foxbins! Good luck Fern! Keep us updated...good question and very interesting topic.
  7. I was wondering about this today. I used to run, and post surgery once I lose weight I would like to start again. But my concern is will I be able to get in enough calories and Water down the road to sustain the running habit? I just have this picture in my head that I will be too malnourished and dehydrated to run! How far out were you when you started running Foxbins? Do you feel like you had any of the above issues?
  8. I will be keeping up with you! My surgery date is 5/17.
  9. glad to hear you are doing so well! Just curious, what powdered vitamin supplement are you using?

  20. Just wondering for those of you who are a ways out if you feel like your metabolism slows down after surgery. I know right after surgery everything is crazy, but what about a ways out? Is there a way to increase your metabolism? I haven't talked with a nutritionist or dietician yet. Just wondering
