  1. Today is officially my 5 months dnd I'm down 89llbs . Recently I've had a burning sensation in my tummy. Any suggestions? I guess I need to call my doctor. I love my sleeve.
  2. I am close to 4 months out with a total weight loss of 74lbs but lately I've been screwing up, today was really bad - grazing. I usually eat under 800 calories, today... 1500. I need help with my head, why is it I am attempting to sabotage myself? What have some of you vets done to stop the grazing. :crying::confused1::cursing:
  3. I am almost 4 months out and have not had any problems. Dr. Macik came highly recommended and I am extremely pleased with my decision to use him. He is a skilled surgeon. I am down 70lb (10 preop) and would do this again in a heartbeat. Although I am currently in a stall.. ugh the surgery has has changed my life this short period of time. I am back to working out, and feeling better about myself. I had my labs done on Monday and received a call from my PC that everything was excellent including my cholesterol... it was perfect.
  4. I had my sleeve surgery at northside with Dr. Macik...
  5. I was cleared for NSAID, at six weeks. I believe that's one most folks get the sleeve because you are allowed to take NSAIDs
  6. Gosh, pork rinds are now my favorite snack also. I am five weeks out and had some yesterday.
  7. I saw those protein shakes in Costco today are they ok to drink post op? I am scheduled for surgery on Wednesday. I have a few samples but have heard the ones from Costco taste pretty good.
  8. I am having my surgery on May 12 also...
  9. I gained 10 pounds. I am on my preop diet and have lost 6 of the 10. My doctor will not perform the surgery if I gain. I'm scheduled for surgery on May 12th. 7 days
  10. I didn't think about the mayo, it was the tuna and seafood from subway. I better leave it alone. Thanks, it's great having a place to go to for support.
  11. I a on the two week preop diet (May 12 surgery). My surgeon requires a no/low carb diet. He suggests meat and veggies. I am sick of meat, does tuna and seafood salad qualify as no/low carb?
  12. I believe Dr. Macik like his patients to stay for two days. Which dietitian did you see? I saw one at northside during my pre-certification. I have begun my two week no carb diet.
  13. I will add that to my list of questions to ask Dr. Macik during my preop on the 10th. I begin my preop diet tomorrow. Fortunately he requires his patients to do a no carb diet. I guess if I had to do liquids I could.
  14. I am schedule to have gastric sleeve with Dr. Macik on May 12th. Originally I was scheduled for RNY but once aenta added the sleeve as one of their options I change. From what I understand he is one of the best in the area. One of his staff told me he sleeved her aunt and she is doing really well.
  15. I was approved by Aetna a few weeks ago for RNY thinking about having my paperwork resubmitted for the sleeve which they added to their bullentin on 4/12.
