  13. YAY SPOT!! That rocks!!! I'm just heading out for a mountain bike ride with the girls! Once you get started biking its hard not to get hooked! Have fun!
  14. Agree! Switching it up keeps me motivated - running, mountain biking, boot camp and TRX keep me on my toes. Also finding an activity that you love to do and can make friends doing...mountain biking has opened up a whole new world of friends/mentors. We are always going out for some adventure! Good luck - PS - I keep motivated knowing how good I feel after I workout! vanessa
  15. Definitely a healing issue. I had pain for about 3 weeks post op - now i never have pain!
  16. I would plan on not doing much for at least a week. And no heavy lifting for 2-3weeks. Your body will tell you when to quit. I was really out of it and on the couch for 3 days after surgery. Back up and walking and back to work after 5 days. Exercising after 2 weeks. Good luck!
  17. Wow! Now That is a NSV! I too have gone cold turkey on chocolate Desserts and anything sugary. I do not crave it anymore. I know that day will come when I will have a bite..thanks for the inspiration - it doesn't have to be the whole cake to enjoy!
  18. That's awesome!

  20. ~NSV~ Ran a 5K this morning - for the first time in 6 years - super slow - but I made it! Now, to do some speed work and shave off some minutes before the race in July!
  21. YAY! Please email me @ vsaun@msn.com - I'll send you links to recipes. Peta.org has a great selection of easy recipes too - I always make the slow cooker lasagna and my dinner guests never know its vegan! Also a great cook book to start with is the 30 minute vegan! I am trying to stay away from overdoing it with soy - so am switching to almond milk and more Beans and grains along with the veggies...
