  1. just curious if anyone has had a full feeling in their chest when they eat? Almost like heartburn, but no burning, just fullness? I don't really get belly full, but my chest feels full if that makes any sense. I had my surgery Sept 14. I am still on full liquids.
  2. me too. I'm not crazy about them when I have mixed them with Water, yogurt or skim milk, but the key for me is mixing it with soy milk - very vanilla or chocolate are my favorites. They are really good that way!
  3. i'm not doing anything but the shakes.
  4. i'm not sure what a mlm company is. I just buy it from a friend of mine who sells it. I don't sell it.i just know that it is a product that i never get tired of- or havne't yet after starting it 2 x a day on sept 1.
  5. in my opinion - the bullet is better. Mainly becuase it is smaller, you don't have to take it completly apart to wash it every single time. i have a great recipe for protien shakes. I take 8 oz of vanilla soy milk, 2 scoops of protien mix, 1 heaping teaspoon of decaf instant coffee and ice. blend it all together and I swear it is just like a frappachino from starbucks! yummy!!!!
  6. has anyone ever tried the soft serve frozen yogurt - fat free - like at Cherry Berry or Orange Leaf? I had a couple bites tonight and it was good too, i used to could eat a whole one 30 oz, plus tons of toppings, tonight i was able to get 10 bites down - no toppings....that is PROGRESS!!!!
  7. that makes me feel better too!!! I don't want to go thru banders hell! lol i'm still scaared to eat anything...hopeing that goes away as I start softies
  8. wow really!?!! did you try anything in it or just plain? I think thier awesome!
  9. magic bullets are the bomb! I make protien shakes, puree soups, sauces, etc. It is my new best friend lol
  10. the best one i found out there was visalus protien drinks. tthere is one recipe that is a dead ringer for a carmel frapachino from starbucks.
  11. just curious if there is a reason for the dr only recommending sugar free popsicles and sugar free jello and pudding? Is it due to the high calories in non sugar free or is there some other reason?
  12. has anyone tried the Visalus protien shakes. I have been taking them for a bout a month and they are REALLY good. Mixed with soy milk and 1tsp coffee and ice tastes just like a frappacino from starbucks. I drank them twice a day for the 2 weeks before my suregery and lost 8lbs and then have been drinking them - much smaller portions though- since my surgery last week and I've lost another 8 lbs since my surgery.
  13. that makes me feel better too. I had my surgery one week ago today. I'm down 8lbs since surgery, not hungry at all. I am having trouble getting in all my water though. Seems like I am sipping all day on water, but still really thirsty. I only get about 1 1/2 bottles of water down aday. Is that about normal?
  14. That is a great idea! that is my favorite soup! I will definatly try this tonight. My mom brought me homemade potatoe soup and I just strained off the juice and ate that last night and it was heaven! Very filling ....well my whole 1/4 cup full
  15. my surgery was 9/14. i'm feeling much better, the first 48 hours were horrible. I'm going back to work tomorrow, hoping that goes ok. I have lost 6 lbs since the surgery. Not very hungry, but tired of broth for sure. Seems like I can't tolerate sf popcicles or jello...seems too sweet! Tomorrow I can go to full liquid, so I am looking forward to some good soups in my near future.
  16. i am on the full liquid diet My surgeon only made me do clear liquid for 3 days. I will check out the spet bandsters thanks!
  17. im 4 days post op....just coming off the major pain medicine and getting ready to go back to work tomorrow. Anyone have any ideas other than broth and protien shakes what I can do for my liquid diet phase?

  22. I saw a post on here a couple weeks ago about a Dallas surgeon - I think he was in Irving, TX who was running a special for self pays for around 8-9K. Does anyone remember who this was?
  23. Anyone have any suggestions on how to finance self pay? I don't have the best credit and can't borrow from friends or family.
