I started this journey about a year after it was suggested to me by my Orthopedist.  I was tired of sitting around and not going out to do things with my daughter for fear of back pain or knee pain while walking around.  I was letting my weight hinder spending quality time with my daughter - it was definitely just time for a change!  My insurance is covering 100% of the surgery, though I did have to complete 6 months of a Cardiac Risk Reduction program offered by the hospital where my surgery will take place.  I also had to have an EKG and Gallbladder Ultrasound, along with a Psychiatriac Bariatric Evaluation.  Passed all with flying colors and SURGERY IS FRIDAY!! :)
