The 5:2 diet
Onward and upward! Fast Day! Yippee! . It's 9am and I'm hungry today. Hmm. I will persevere, though, and not eat my oatmeal tip 10 or 11! Lol

I just got a good laugh my bloodwork said my B12 was high I could not figure out how. Then I I remembered Crystal light energy flavor drink at guzzle it all day long it has B12. By the way Siri is typing this for me. LOL- The 5:2 diet
My favorite "go to" food right now is sliced baby cucumbers, tomatoes and sliced red pepper with 100 cal guacamole pouch. Either with 2 extra lean turkey franks or sliced turkey breast. I think I could eat it every day!- Gonna Get To Goal. Wanna Join Me?

I'm with you! I never really drank water before, was a DIET COKE addict, but I seriously could not stomach it at all after surgery. Made me nauseous. Now I drink LOTS and LOTS (no fizzy drinks at all) but I have to have something in it like Crystal Light.- Has Anyone Managed To Keep Surgery Completely Private?
Yeah, I managed for about a month! Ha! Only my husband and daughter (well, bestie too) knew. But my other childhood friend flat out asked me after going to lunch one day since I could only eat about a spoonful. When I got a couple months out, I quit worrying about it. When people would ask how I was losing, I'd say "Portion control!" Which IS true. Good luck, All! 3 years out - and 100 pounds lighter. You're gonna love it!- The 5:2 diet
My sons friend just stopped by and said I looked "skinny" that didn't hurt Love it, Laura! You are always good for a "pick me up" laugh or too!- Eating as a vet adaptation
I firmly believe gaining is just a "state of mind." Fiddleman, it's what you said "match your lifestyle with your eating habits. I can DEF eat more 3 years out but it is stuff I SHOULDN'T eat. If I stick to the guidelines, Protein first, veggies, no "whites", the restriction is still there in spades! It comes down to former addicts recovering fully and understanding that for some it means stay away!!! Others can be more moderate and increase exercise. Our metabolisms don't "magically" change because we have the sleeve. Its like they say in the tech world, "garbage in, garbage out!" You eat junk, you will gain "junk" (maybe in the trunk!) Love all my fellow Vets!!! So glad I have all of y'all! (Yes, I'm from the South!)- To track or not to track?
I have LEARNED to be a tracker. The hard way! No tracking, no real commitment for several months of grazing and yep, regained 20+ lbs. NOW, I'm a fanatic for MFP and accountability for me. Have lost 18 pounds, just a few more to get back to original goal at 3years out. I found out for me, I'm going to have to. Saying that, I hope I don't fall back into bad habits once I'm "there!" I tend to relax after I've reach a goal so, hmm, I'll have to think up something else to keep me - like losing BEFORE I go on my November cruise so I won't be a blimp when I get back!!!! Ha!- To track or not to track?
That "stalking" thing would kinda irritate me! Lol- Gonna Get To Goal. Wanna Join Me?
Ms. Skinniness, that is EXACTLY where my body liked to be until I let go of it! Ha! No, 145-150 is a "set point" for me. My "early life" that was my weight for years then LIFE happened and I went up and then up and then up... Well, you get the picture' but it is where I will hopefully set my "forever" weight again.- How many vets are actually AT goal and staying there?
