Okay, Pals, hit new low this morning! 157 and 20 lbs down! And today is fast day!!!!!! Hoping for a little more loss tomorrow morning, since Friday is my official weigh day. Let's get it!- How was your 5:2 day today?
Swizzle, been there too!! Sometimes habit just takes over!! ( or an evil spirit!!!! Lol). If I pick up chocolate, its going to be bad!!!!- How was your 5:2 day today?
- Looking deflated!
This is so funny to me - in a strange way! I was in NOLA this past weekend for the BD of my 3 year old Granddaughter. She stayed in my hotel all three nights and slept between me and my 10 year old Grand. All night she rubbed her hand up and down my arms and squeezed them! I would laugh at her and she would just grin!!! I know she liked the "squishy", Supersweetums!!! LOL- How was your 5:2 day today?
Well I'll take the sick since I ended my fast last night At 400 cal went to sleep at 7 PM. Weighed this morning back down to low. Hopefully I'll see a new low This week.- How was your 5:2 day today?

Hit me driving home so it's 6:25 and I'm in the bed. . And vacay is Sunday so I need to get well quickly!!- How was your 5:2 day today?
- I am so happy!
I have a "crusier" bike copy! Old style bike but new. Love to ride it. Only problem is that I live up on the side of a small mountain and have to transport down the hill and good area to ride unless I go somewhere else! It manages to deter me frequently from riding as much as I would like.- I am so happy!
Lisa's Hope, you might research 5:2 eating. Google it and read up on it. Seems to be working for me right now.- husband, family, sig others...and the 5:2 lifestyle
Oh, I thought ALL husbands had to "think it up" themselves! LOL Mine too, FYE! My dear Hubs has NEVER had to lose weight. when I married him he weighed 125 lbs!!!!! But for the last few years has had to watch sugar because he found out he is Type 2 Diabetic which is truly weird because nobody in his family is and he is not overweight! Anyway, trying to get it through his head that CARBS turn into SUGAR is laughable. He tends to eat lightly in the morning and mid day and then sit down at night and eat, snack, shack, shack, and then snack! HA! My kids are grown and nobody at home but me and him now but I have two Grands every weekend and sometimes during the week. They are all used to me eating differently just as Laura said. I do tend to most of the time eat a variation of what I fix for them and the good thing is my husband would rather eat salad, stirfry and stuff like that than anything else!!- What are your favorite low calorie snacks
Mine is def Mini Babybel Light Cheese. As well as 90 calorie FiberOne PB Bar. Also, love (if we are going that high 100) 100 cal guacamole pouches, either Wholly brand or my fav is Marketside (Walmart) w/thin sliced cukes and red pepper slices.- What are your favorite low calorie snacks
I want to know about the salami sticks. Where? What brand? Etc.- Is anyone doing the ADF version of 5:2?
I did research it and bought the book prior to starting 5:2 but figured out that I didn't like that my "days" would change all the time. I have thought about doing it simply because I think mentally I would like not such a long gap between my last fast day of the week. I might try it and see what I think since I have kinda stalled at this body setpoint for the last two weeks. Research does show that it isn't really any more beneficial, though, as FYE said earlier.- How was your 5:2 day today?
Half. Day. Done. 150 calories in. Feels kinda good to get back to this after a long four days of "freestyle" eating.- Why maintenance is so hard...
I think we all struggle with some of the same things you mentioned, BTB. We somehow make ourselves believe that once we "hit" the mark that magically, we are going to stay there without work when in reality, nobody really can do that. Normal, non-sleevers, have to work to maintain or else all these gajillion gyms and diet centers wouldn't be around! The hardest for me is knowing that I can MAYBE have a few special things at special times like BDs, parties, but I'm going to have to REALLY work to get back in line. Truly, one weekend of snacking/junk food can add back 3+ pounds quickly. Maybe it's that as "foodies" we still have that mentality and think we "deserve" to eat again?? I know in my past life (before VSG) once I hit a goal on a "diet" I would tend to then immediately let up and slowly or quickly depending on my mindset regain what was lost! Like your signature says, "You don't have your patience removed during surgery."- Where are the 50s ???
I just got really tickled! Wen to my "content/followed" and opened this thread. It came up to the first post and said "All I see is a conversation about wrinkles!" Well, um, today, I looked in the mirror and I swear my neck and face look like a roadmap! I've lost down almost 20 pounds in the last 8 weeks and boy, does my face/neck suffer when I get back to my goal weight range. I NEED FILLER! Anybody else in my age range had any fillers?- Where are the 50s ???
Good luck, FibroDiva! You will NEVER REGRET it! I don't! A brand new life starts for you! Just remember, that as with anything, you have to follow the guidelines and make up your mind that this is my NEW LIFESTYLE. It's awesome! Be thinking of you during the next few days. Check back in with us after your surgery and let us know how things went.- How was your 5:2 day today?
Yep, What we are going to need to wrap our heads around is this is just like anything else - "honeymoon ends!" LOL Then the real work starts and we should be losing 1 lb a week (and probably that's an average, so some weeks none, others maybe two etc) I know, for me, simply realizing once again that I CAN lose and function on a "normal" pattern like other non-surgical patients (because, honestly, everyone has to watch what they eat or they will gain unless they are blessed with an absolutely fabulous metabolism) do too! I'm very happy that in the space of time we have been on this I've accomplished getting back within "goal range" and know if we keep plugging along we'll be better off and there WILL be less of us! Coops, yeah, I had the "bounce" today (told myself I wasnt going to weigh until Friday!) but was pleased it wasn't any more than it was considering my wonderful weekend in New Orleans. Didn't really overeat (well, except the homemade Tollhouse Cookie Cake!) but definitely NOT what I've been eating. I don't think, for me, though, that I could just EAT WHAT I WANT WITHIN CALORIE RANGE on my non-fast days and continue to lose, though. Just don't see it happening. What do ya'll think?- Where are the 50s ???
You are who "widdle!" You look maaa va lous!!!- How was your 5:2 day today?
Well, back to reality and life as a 5.2er! Didn't really try to NOT eat but logged most everything and calorie wise not too high. Yesterday would have been worst since it was Baby Girl's 3rd BD party on NOLA and other Grannie's HOMEMADE COOKIE CAKE! Yep, I indulged. And indulged. And the indulged again a few hours later. But hey, this is Normal Day, right? Lol. Somehow I don't quite feel that way but as Laura said, Tomorrow is fast day and I WILL BE fasting cause that's what I DO!!! I had "held" last Friday so still at 19 lbs lost. And not thinking otherwise until NEXT Friday. . I am ready for my routine, though.- Looking deflated!
