How was your 5:2 day today?
Hmm, you know, I am not worrying overly about protein grams. Never have really except at the very beginning year or so of loss. Should I be too concerned? I eats lots of cheese, meat, and veggies as a rule. I don't eat much junk except my 90 calorie Fiber One bars (once every day or so) and WW Ice cream bars (yogurt strawberry and NSA Fudge). I eat fruit and take vitamins. I probably don't usually hit 50 or near it. I looked back and I've been averaging in the last month or so about 30-35 daily. I have never done shakes (except the few I started trying a couple months ago) I don't feel weak or extremely tired. I exercise (except last two weeks because I have STILL got the cruds/upper respiratory infection).

How was your 5:2 day today?
Well, finished out my fast day at 540. Not too shabby. And even had hot cocoa, Ms Skinniness! Lol. I'll admit the 60 cal version is not as good as the 180 cal version. . Hope everyone is doing well with their fast days and otherwise.

Yes, by accident I found the dark chocolate mix ( my friend found it!) and loved it until I found out it was 180 calories. If you have a Keurig, I just found dark chocolate mix k cups by Cafe Escapes, I think, that only has 80. Still not 60- NSA- but dark chocolate!!!

CGJ, I would be just like you. Every twinge would make me nervous for a while. Also, on 5:2, I did not find it to be inconsistent as to loss when actively working it for major loss, I consistently lost IF I watched what I are on non fast days as well within my 1200-1300 calorie range. In a four month period, I shed 30 pounds. I had to REALLY clean up my act and increase exercise to do it full justice. The average is only a pound or so a week and as sleevers, I think we initially got used to dropping quickly. Maybe for some is no but after three year stretch, the only thing that seemed to kick start my body again Also, Kim, I think that is very interesting about it becoming somewhat easier to maintain WL after 5:2. I am def finding that to be the case right now but I think some of it plays into regulating your diet and clean eating also and the discipline it forms in a person. This is very hopeful to me!!

Globe, for the record, one of my best friends is a long term employee of SS And a supervisor with 25 years experience. She tells people don't do attorney, just keep appealing and appealing and appealing. 99% of time works to their advantage. Just a thought for the future.

The Food Police Were Out In Full Force Yesterday!
I didn't get that out of anybody either. I think we were just "venting" about people/or us trying to MAKE people do right according to their/our rules. Lol. And we ALL know, that doesn't work. Ha!

Girls, I'm not sure what is going on but I'm down almost another pound to 141.4. That's after a pound loss two days ago. I'm not really being that good so I guess the switch up is playing into it. Well, I'll take it. 1.4 to final goal of 140. Happy Sunday/whatever to all!

I was lucky. ONE, I repeat, one NUT visit and preop blood work. I got in before BCBS changed policy. Whew! Approved first try w letter from Dr. I did have HBP, sleep apnea as co morbidities, though.

It was also used for many years for those with extreme ulcerated stomachs. Yes, there are risks as with any surgery. I, for one, at three 1/2 years out had NO complications, am below goal ( after much hard work and maintenance) and wouldn't change a thing. Just know. It is not a magic bullet. You can and will gain after initial loss if you don't follow through on your eating guidelines. It has been life changing for me. Good luck!

How was your 5:2 day today?
Aww, Swizzly, I can imagine. If you are like me, the worst is simply living with all the constant clutter! As you said, NOBODY has it as bad as WE do! Who would dare? Thankful for your honest perspective. As somebody who in almost sixty years has lived through lots of crap ( of course, not as bad as YOURS , let me just say, THIS TOO SHALL PASS. Accept a BIG SMOOCHY KISS on the cheek from me. Glad you are around! Hang in there!
