  3. I've been banded 9 months and I still haven't slimed yet. I'm not complaining, mind you.

  8. I dont see any reason you won't be able to ride once everything heals. I hardly ever even think of feeling different at this point when it comes to physical stuff. Everything is just better. Your horse will be happier too.
  9. I've had 4 fills and still no restriction, though I'm still losing very slowly.
  10. Whenever I have to go to work in the morning I eat cereal. Most every kind. Never a problem. Cereal is actually pretty low calorie. I don't put too much milk and use 1%. Can't stand nonfat so far.
  11. Best of luck. It's not too bad a surgery if you follow the rules. I had very little pain.
  12. But can you eat more if you want or does the band set a limit o stop you? I don't feel all that hungry but I can eat way more than 4 ounces if I want to. I've never gotten stuck either. food slows Down sometimes. I think I'm close.
  13. Beans not only have a lot of protein but they are very filling and have lots of fiber. We were encouraged to eat them a lot.
  14. After 4 months I can still eat everything. Only a saltine cracker has given me problems so far. Some things go down slowly, but I can eat them. I'm fine with meats, tamales, eggs, veggies etc. I can eat 100% whole wheat bread. We are all different. Just take it slowly.
  15. Just don't rush things. Try to stick to the eating plan. It's hard at first with liquids and mushies but there are more choices than you think. And walk a lot, even in the house to keep gas pains down.
  16. Hang in there! I've had 4 fills and I can still eat anything pretty much. Hoping next one does the trick.
  17. Sounds like gas pains settling in your chest. walking helps the most.
