That is so awesome to hear-they offer Zumba at the Curves that I go to but I have not tried it yet-guess I should look to see when it is offered again

Get the leftovers out of the house from my son's BDay. I do not believe that bbqchicken wings are on the liquid pre-op diet-I better start drinking more water to flush it all out. I know that I can do this-one day, or even one meal at a time. The chicken wings are behind me and I must move forward and not punish myself for the slipup. . Send me some extra stength please.

Made waffles, bacon, sausage and juice for the 5 boys that stayed over last night. Now for the clean up and some protein drinks for me!! Making all of that now I am hungry-better get the blender out in a hurry!!

:tea: Hi everyone-I am on my pre-op Liver Reduction diet and was looking for ways to "spice up" the protein drinks. People have suggested adding SF Syrups to their drink-but they are expensive. But have I found a DEAL-if you have a Dollar Tree near you-go visit-they have SF Syrups in the food isle in Vanilla, Hazelnut and Carmel!!! A 12.7 oz bottle for a buck!!! Good luck to all on their journey!!

My DH is doing the pre-op diet with me!!!! He is the best-hope all is going well with everyone today. My son is having a sleepover tonight for his BDay with 5 other 8 and 9 year olds. Give me strength to stick to this with 7 boys in the house for the party.

Off to my pre-op testing appointment, protein drink and water in hand!!

I am hoping that I am still just recovering from the flu (although a DF of mine is teasing me that I am pregnant!!!!!-don't even want to go there) that nothing tastes good and I have an upset stomach-I think the nerves are kicking in already. Silly me I am in "last supper" mode right now. We are having a nice dinner tonight (everyone is going to be home) and I start my pre-op diet on Thurs. I think it is something we all exhibit in some form or another. good luck

Sorry that I have missed the last few days of sending everyone their pre-op well wishes, but I have had the flu (uuugh) So I started my pre-op diet a few days early???!!!??? What am I thinking-everything is making me quesy. Just soup and tea today. Guess it can't hurt. Best of luck to all those being banded this week.

So great to hear - I am not sure when my doctor will let me go back to the gym after my surg. I am used to going 3x perweek and really don't want to give it up for long. Best wishes for your continued success

There is an article posted under the "Blogs" it is the first one on the page. Nationally they have changed their requirements, but still check with your insurance to see if the surgery is covered or if you would be self pay. Best of luck!!

I too have Blue Cross Insurance, and I was able to fill out a form with my primary physicians care records to show that I had tried to loose for years and unsuccessful. Then I also had the BMI issue of 39-they wanted 40 or better or less than 40 with additional complications. I tried as sad as that sounds to "gain" and meet their BMI requirement, unsuccessful at that ended up putting things in my pockets, leaving my jacket on when I was weighed to meet the BMI. When you receive anesthesia during surgery it slows everything down, including #2. It is not uncommon for things to take up to 5 days or sometimes even longer to resume to normal.

Do you have a Vitamin Shoppe near you?? They have a really good Tropical Mango and a Creamy vanilla in their store and on their website you can often find a 40% off coupon making it around $22 for a large jar of the Protein powder. Jello jigglers from SF Jello have been a big hit with my kids to, so this way it is not so "strange" having these foods all of a sudden in our house that are for mom, they are now already part of our routine.
