  1. Doreykn and group, THANKS helps a lot. I am not going to even open these plain Calcium. I will find a Citrate until I can get the Bariatric Advantage (chalk) again. Or may the chocolate chew although I wonder how many calories they are? Geez always something, but I would do it all over again and it is a small price for all I have gained Nite.
  2. Hi folks, I am about out of my Bariatric Advantage chewable Calcium Citrate and so went to costco and purchased Calcium chewables. I really wanted to find something I will like but now notice they are just Calcium.... Is this an issue?? Thank you for any response here. Sandy
  3. Dearest Irene, We have all celebrated in your success by following exercise tips, diet tricks (life change) and believing we could do it! Take our prayers and strength with you as you walk down this part of your path. So sorry for the loss of your mother in law - she said it you are a "favorite"... for many. Please just take care of you, your hubby and your furry friends. You have taught us all well, this is just a bump in the road, to which you will overcome. Hugs, Sandy
  4. Hey Jas, Crystal light puts out a orange sunrise that is tasty... maybe not so much acid to start with? -s
  5. What about excess air from chewing something tells me that is part of the issue also, but I can't recall for certain. Just definitely remember no gum.
  6. Hi BB's I have not been on the forum in about a week as I was traveling for work. It was nice to get online and see this post refreshed. My experience started shaky with my complication and second surgery but through it all, except a fleeting moment alone at 3am in the ER before surgery to remove my abscess, NO REGRETS. I was able to see co-workers I have not seen in 6 months. One sweet woman put her hands over her mouth and said the only words she had to describe me was "beautiful". Oh my....I was wearing a 18/20 sweater with a size 18 skirt. The last time I was atthat location, I wore a size 26 jacket and 24 pant. I have to say it made me feel so great. I generally just eat the usuals chicken, shrimp, tuna, eggs, steak on occasion, then veggies and occasionally Peanut Butter toast for Breakfast. I tend to stay away from white flour foods, mainly because I just don't care for them any longer. I get min 64 oz of Protein in daily, my hair is falling out but really more like a heavier shedding not bad, I try and most days get in at least 64 oz of water/crystal lite and exercise 4-6 days a week. I was sleeved on November 1, lost 28 lbs pre-op. I do not see the scale moving like it did but, friends if I never lost another pound, I feel so much better physically and mentally now, it would be ok. Celebrate your accomplishments now and let's give the process a chance. Longerlife thanks for always staying positive and glad things are going well you and all of our Banana Babes.
  7. Jas, Your picture has you smiling so big and bright, Favordone smiles so warmly in hers(can't you just feel her warmth?). Hopefully through your tears of pain and sadness you are smiling again. You may have found a true friend through all of this. God puts people and situations with us for reasons and never anything we can't get through. Thanks for lifting our sleeve sister up Favordone! Good luck Monday.
  8. Bedhead generally with a bug you do not have pain? I am nervous for you darlin, I will say a prayer for you. If you have not been feeling better the last couple days and now fever, not sounding good. I am shocked your doc is willing to let you go through the night. Personally, I would not wait. I almost blew it big time with my abscess by waiting fortunately caught it before the infection burst into my peritoneal cavity. With a fever you could also dehydrate. Please keep sipping.
  9. I use Raspberry sugar free Torani with Stevia and 2tbs low fat granola in my plain yogurt mix in my large potassium pills (open capsules). So yummy. Add 2 pumps sf vanilla to my coffee in Mornings with silk soy and tsp Stevia. Makes my day start so wonderfully! Greek yogurt and I do not mix well unfortunately. I just stick with low fat plain. Have a great week!
  10. Happy what great suggestions. Kathy, she has great points. You have drifted apart, I too recall this as a topic during the pre surgery classes I had. My hubby went to each one and has adopted Atkins style of eating, supports my changes so we are closer aligned. I travel for work but only ever 5 weeks or so for a week at a time. It does change the dynamic of the relationship. You need to find that desire, passion and each other to keep your marriage viable. Living apart, you grew apart and perhaps did not even realize it. Best to you. Sandy
  11. I agree with my sleeve friends before me, I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. I had a small complication compared to 3 people I have seen on here, JASleeve, peace queen and mememe. This operation gave me a new lease on life and is going to bring me into my twilight years with my husband. I have so much more energy, make no mistake it is hard. You are relearning to eat, learning to listen to your body, learning exercise is important, learning you must drink Water, learning to keep your Protein up but most of all you will have learned, YOU ARE WORTH IT! Keep researching until you find calm, then you will know. Best to you
  12. Peace queen, Honey you should not be vomiting and having diarrhea. Do you think you ate too much or too fast? The one thing my docs always said is you should be feeling better. If at anytime you are not continuing that pattern you need to see doctor. Please watch your temperature if you do not feel better sooner than later, go to ER. You are too fragile considering the leak to ignore anything with your body. Please do not worry about bothering anyone or that it is your body being funny. It is a okay to get it checked out. Hugs
  13. Interesting Bionic Broad, I do not mean to change the topic here but, it is related to drinking coffee. I just made my cup and sat down to the forum. So, I checked the Soy and it is 4grms sugar for 1/4c. Compared to our fat free milk at 14grms. So I think I am going to experiment next week. I have Halfcaf K-cups (used my caffeine free), and shopping was yesterday. We live 1.5 hours from a town with shopping to get kcups, so I am going to see if that helps. Heck maybe drop coffee next week and see if that makes a difference. Had no idea on the caffeine, if this makes the difference for me I am going to be so darn happy! Thank you!
  14. I used it as well from one week out grape low calorie. I have it in the fridge right now Best to you
  15. 2 months out I added some decaf. Now my kurig is feeling the love as I am drinking on average 1 cup per day of regular Breakfast blend Bionic B, I am wondering if you did not hit on something for me...I have not lost weight in weeks, I follow diet guidelines, calories, Water and exercise BUT I also use Stevia, sf vanilla and Silk Soy Light in my coffee each day. Wonder if that is adding to my stall?
  16. Loving husband - wow this sparked many posts very quickly. As you can see people are just as passionate as you are about your wife, family and feelings. My husband has watched me for more than 18 years diet on the YO-YO roller coaster. It was only after our daughter age 24 was banded and he saw the life she was getting back that he agreed I had tried everything and we (together) were ready for me to get healthy for our golden years. Perhaps, you and your wife can go to see a counselor? But, please open your heart and mind if even just a bit as a possibility for both you and your wife. She clearly chose you, now walk hand in hand and try to find that common ground. WLS is not the easy way, as others before me indicate - this is just a tool. It will/can help her long in the long journey to physical and mental wellness.
  17. Very sorry Pookeyism. I just saw this post, truly hope you and your family are healing in all ways. I am sure your mom would want you to make sure you take care of yourself. My best to you, Sandy
  18. Hubby and I went out Friday night with our son then again alone on Saturday afternoon. Friday night was Mexican, I ordered chicken tortilla Soup, and side refried Beans. I ate the chicken and avocado from the soup and a couple bites of beans, took rest of beans home, left the broth. Saturday he ordered a pulled pork salad with extra pulled pork, a small potatoe salad and a plate. I ate about 3oz of the pork with a little salad with balsamic vinaigrette, and a tbs of potatoe salad. It was such a treat! Love my sleeve, sleevedreamer you will do great!
  19. Right on Lissa! You keep it up girl, congratulations. Such an inspiration and you always are there for folks, thank you for that!
  20. Sleeve 4 me, I just saw this post. I am so sorry you are now facing this with your health. Thankfully, you have your walk with God and you know how to take charge and beat this thing. God bless you - I too will keep you in my prayers. Sandy
  21. Oh I am so glad for you, this is now the start for you to begin your new life. Take care and my best to you.
  22. Cheri, Thank you so much for your post here. Seriously of all the advise, conversations, examples and discussions I have read and participated in for me - you just nailed it. Absolutely on point. I just read aloud to my hubby and he fully agrees. I am on regular food and definitely needed to hear you here. I do want to be a normal person and this almost feels freeing. I will be successful. Thanks again for reaching out and sharing. This morning I hit 70 lbs down, and received you words...it is going to be a great day. Take care, Sandy
  23. SKCunningham, Great points about the clothes. So tired of boxes in storage and honestly now, I am no longer saving. If they do not fit or look great and are in style they go. I LOVE crossing my legs like a lady. It has been longer than 20 years and I find myself doing it all the time! Keep up all the good work! PS just noticed this was in the twenties group sorry I am twice that age but I do have a 24 year old beautiful daughter
  24. Strudel it becomes a circle. You feel better, start walking, sip you fluids then you start to feel better, walk a little more (need to clear your lungs), so on. You should start to feel better. Like Diva said you may need a PPI if you are not taking anything as well. If you do not start to feel better OR begin to feel worse time to call doc. Take care of you.
