  1. I eat at weird hours because of my job. I am a nurse and work a 12 hr night shift 3-4 days a week. So a lot of times I have to eat at "night". It is not a prob for mr , but I am definitely tighter when I wake up no matter what time if day that ends up being. Can't eat for a couple hours after I wake up
  2. I would do it too. Some college offer online or classes where you do the exercising on tour own time and do something like bi weekly checking on your weight ad strength etc. That may be a good option for you if it is available and you can do it b
  3. My doc let me do 2 protein shakes and one small low carb meal a day. I lost 19 lbs in 2 weeks pre op. It want as hard as I thought it would be.
  4. I had 2 c section last one in 2003. Didn't cause any complications with my band surgery

  6. I love baked ricotta with spaghetti sauce on top. Takes care of my pizza/ pasta cravings. Scrambled eggs, pudding, cottage cheese. Avacado is a good one too.

  8. It has been easier than thought it would be so far but I am not saying it has been a cake walk either. I have days that I go off the wagon and eat something I know I'd bad fr me like cookies or something, overall I have done well. I do exercise most days but now that I have so much energy I really like it I have I only had one fill so far and have prett good restriction. I am down 40 lbs in 6 weeks.
  9. I only took off a week. I am an RN and should have taken off more time but didn't. I didn't have pain but I got tired really easily and was very burpy still and that was kind of embarrassing around patients.
  10. I like the chewable gasx or the gasx strips. They were my lifesaver the first couple weeks. Also for some reaso if I lie on my right side I am able to burp easier. Hoe that helps and I promise it gets better!
  11. I love it! My fav part is that it tracks your protein and nutrients too. Very helpful for me. TexasNurseMom is my user name
  12. After a fill it is normal for me to be burpy. Otherwise it means I ate too fast and or too much
  13. I had my first fill last week and I can tell a big difference. Don't have shoulder pain but definitely have gas. Very burpy like I was post op. How that helps. I think it iis normal. Do you feel tighter? Are you eating less? Just wondering b/ c I can really tell a difference
  14. Went shopping for some spring clothes and Easter dress this week. Am down to 18/20 from a tight 24! Bought some ew stuff and even some new peep toe pumps! Felt so pretty and cute. I haven't felt that way in a really long time!
  15. I eat a burger patty once or twice a week. I get te low fat frozen ones and cook with Pam on my electric griddle. Top with jalapeño jack slice cheese, pickle, lettuce and tomato. I really don't miss the bread. It satisfies that craving for fast food pretty well for me.
  16. I hear you. Toucan do it. I felt the same way. If you are getting butlers Wth your foods try something new are you on misfits or purees? I ate a lot of Avacado, refried beans, scrambled eggs and pudding at that loin in my recovery. I am 6 weeks out now and on regular foods. If I can make it so can you.
  17. I try to eat around 1200 cal/ day. About 60g protein. I also use myfitnesspal.com. I have it on my phone, by you can do it online too. Teapots helps mr keep track of my nutirent intake.
  18. Steak as long as it is tender and not dry is not a problem. Popcorn is ok too. I like the microwave 100 cal packs. Bread is for sure on my no no list. Tried one bite of croissont and got stuck. Have heard toast is ok but too scare to try and I really don't miss it
  19. I ate pretty much normal foods today and was fine. By I definatly ate less than before.
  20. So I got my first fill today. Added 1 cc so I now have a total of 5 in my 11 cc band. I am very burpy today. Like I was right after surgery. Is this normal? Also my doc said that he no longer requires liquids only after a fill for a couple days. So I ate cooked broccoli and salmon for lunch. Big mistake. I was very uncomfortable. So for dinner I ate a ricotta bake I make that is good for mushy stage. That went pretty well by I have this weird warm sensation in my chest. Not pain but just kinda warm and full/ tight. Noraml or not?
  21. I used True Results. They said this is a new thing that they are doing to not be on liquids after a fill. I am really burpy too.
  22. Had first fill today. Now have 5 cc my 11 cc band. Feel kinda strange. Not really tight exactly, just strange. Was told I can continue on regular foods. Not sure about that. Ate like 5 bites grilled salmon at lunch and feel stuffed. Is this normal?
  23. Starting at 317 my personal goal is 185. My "ideal" weight according to whoever makes up all those charts is 147-160 but at 5'10 that seems a little skinny for me. In high school I was a size 13 and about 175-180 pounds so I want to get back close to that. Have lost 39 in 6 weeks already. Woohoo!
  24. I told my kids because I thought thy could handle it. They are 7 and 9. My son was upset at first because he said he liked me "squishy". But after I explained to them both that I would be healthier, feel better and able to do more stuff with them, they understood. My daughter,9, who is very active already has even started riding her bike with me web I go exercise.
  25. Because I was usingfood for everything but nutrition. As a child I was never overweight. My mom was pretty strict on what I ate at home and I was very active so even if I had junk, I burned it off. In high school I thought I was heavy at 180lbs and 5'10. Funny since now my new personal goal weight is 200! Went to college and found new freedom and comfort in food and alcohol and gained about 25 lbs. Funny that I can rememberthe horror I felt when I went over 200lbs way back then. After I got married, had a couple kids the pounds just kept coming. Working nights as a nurse did help either, nor did the stress jn my home life that literally drove me to fast food at least once if not more daily. I got a wake up call in december 2010 when I went for my annual check up and tipped the scale at 317! My labs were terrible and I was put on diabetes meds and increased my BP meds. That was web I decided I ha to take control. I was banded feb 10,2011. I am down 38 lbs so far and off all my meds already. I feel so much better physically and emotionally. It was truly the best thing I have ever done.
