I too have been stalled...I was banded 2011 and have had 13 fills, I stopped getting them 2012 but just having a hard time to lose my goal weight, so have started juicing...so far I have lost ten pounds in 3 mos and DR is pleased that all my numbers have come down, but with the holidays I am eating wrong again...so I will be juicing again after C'mas.

Your welcome...Valentine shows videos of the actual procedure, my husband sat there with his eyes closed while the videos were showing he can't stomach that stuff, LOL....I found it helped me to understand it further...I hope you will too. What's you name, I'm Pattie...have a identical twin Paula, who got the bypass...i am so glad I didn't get that done...she lost 200 pounds tho, but she has all kinds of health issues...not from the surgery tho. I live in Caldwell, Dr. Valentine just did my Lap Band a week ago, I go for a follow up thursday...my twin sister had dr Korn, I do not like him as well as Valentine, sorry...she had the bypass done 3 years ago she lost 200 pounds but she has a lot of health issues now....Dr. Valentine to me is a good Dr and has a great personality...he's not just out for the money as far as I can tell so far.

I've only been banded for a week but it seems when I eat it kind of hurts around the port area is this normal? also how long before any of you had your first fill? Hugs 2ndtwnbrn

I've been banded since the 19th of Jan 2011 so nothing has happened so far, but my identical twin sis had the Ru-N-Y done about three years ago and she's lost a lot of hair and now wear wigs we're 66 and both diabetics...not sure if that has anything to do with it...I too have been drinking Protein drinks in hopes I won't lose my hair. How long did you have to wait for your first fill and other then Protein Drinks what else can I take, I'm still in the full liquid diet stage. Congrats on your weight loss what is your goal? Hello, I'm not sure what I'm doing so please bare with me...I had my surgery a week ago and I saw somebody post that they had some pain where the port is...thank you for mentioning that because I have had some discomfort and wasn't sure if that was normal. I know the first fill isn't til 6 weeks out but I was wondering how much did you eat once you started the full liq diet...it seems I am hungry not long after I eat is that the norm? I don't know where I'm suppose to fill out the questions asked, so forgive me that you don't see much about me...will someone please walk me through it...thank you.

Hi all, I'm new just joined...had my Lap Band surgery a week ago and I see that some of you have concerns about pain around the post area...thank you for that because I too am going through that, I see the Dr for a follow up this coming Thursday...I was wondering tho how much did you eat when you started on the full liquid meals...it seems I eat and I get hungry shortly after but afraid to over fill...anyone have any advice?
