  1. Yay!!!! I didn't really want to get pregnant while I am overweight... however, at the same time I was worried because... I wasn't getting pregnant. My husband and I have not been 'trying' but we haven't been using anything for two years. But, I am hoping that it will be alot better with the weight gone. Anyway, thanks so much!!!!
  2. I'm not really sure how to word this question. But... I'll try my best! Is it possible for the chance of pregnancy to go up after surgery? Like... due to your immune system or your body trying to heal... anything like that? I don't know how to explain it. Anyway, if anybody has any idea of what my question means(lol) or how to reply...please tell me!!!
  3. ...Please don't tell me your THAT dense. Honey, you were pretty much the opposite of UNrude... you were RUDE. There was NO reason for the 'Geez' and 'You said it, you ARE a moron' If you did read the whole thing I pretty much said "You DONT have to tell me I messed up" The last time I checked these were 'support' forums not 'big bitch' forums!

  5. I called my doctor. He said that I would know by now if I have slipped. He said it is a mistake he has seen often (people coming out of surgery and even though they were told they would NOT feel restricted, they believe they will be) and I did kind of 'test' myself. And I am doing better. I'm on my 'soft foods' but it is very hard. You know, you would THINK that this being a 'support' forum... people would be supportive. Hmm... guess not. Well, anyways, to the people that were NOT rude......THANK YOU.
  6. Do you think perhaps your band is a little tight? You seem a bit cranky... maybe your hungry?
  7. My doctor DID go over the diet with me to a certain extent. He didn't really go into full detail. The way I basically took it was 'eat what you can, with A LOT of protein' which was what my mother and husband gathered to at the same meeting. I went in to get the stomach stapling... but because I am so young (only 21) he thought it would be better for me to get the Lap Band because pregnancy goes better along with that. My insurance paid 100%. Thank you for your reply!
  8. Thank you so much! My husband kept telling me that it was unlikely but if there is ONE thing I'm good at... it's worrying! lol I'm going back on my diet, ASAP and I will be calling my doctor, he is the nicest guy ever! Infact... sometimes I think he's too nice. You know that nice... where it's like... 'really? your really this nice all the time? I'm not buying it.' But agian, thanks! I hope I haven't screwed it up already, that would be horrible!
  9. So I got my lap band on 1/5/11 I ate more than my diet was suggested... Alot of stuff I have read about lap band slips state... 'After a while of eating more than suggested quantities of food the pouch stretches out and the band will go up..' blah blah blah so, my question is... can it happen even though i've only had it done for what... 7 days? I am going to go back to the suggested liquid diet i was told to be on and leave it at that. I'm just worried... have I already caused a slip by eating more than I should have? I never got sick, or even felt 'full'
  10. Uhm, if I had wilpower I would not of gotten surgery. I thought this band was more like the stomach stappling where You had no choice...if you ate something wrong, it would come right back up! I'm freaking out about the possibility of a slip
  11. Okay, so I am a moron I watched my friend go through an old fashion stomach stappling and thought that the lap band was the same thing She was on the liquid diet because...that's all she might of been able to eat. I thought the same thing So, I got home with my diet guidelines in hand. I followed them for the two days.... But I was feeling fine. I became more confident I starting 'testing the waters' I ate a WHOLE big mac, and I ate it fast. I've been eating like before I had it done (I have had no fills) Then I start messing around on here and find out that the diet had a reason- SO YOU DON'T SLIP!!!! Needless to say, I'm freaking out! How will I know if I get a slip?????? I read about acid reflex.... Any other signs??? And yes, as I stated I AM AWARE I messed up, you don't have to tell me!!
  12. Well see that's my thing. I started out slow.. and started eating more and more. and i was getting really like... dissapointed that it wasn't coming up. I was kinda testing the Water to see what my limit was. and i ate the big mac HOPING that it would put it in my mind that i CAN'T EAT EVERYTHING... and it didn't. I need to know mentally that i have a limit, and as of right now i don't. i know for a FACT that when i find my limit.. and actually know i have one it will be a differnt story. i HATE geting sick, so i will do EVERYTHING in my power to make sure that i don't, lol
  13. Yeah, I was getting a little worried! I was like 'hey, did they do the oppisit and it's just an empty pit?!'' It's like... if we had the willpower we would be at the gym... not at mcdonalds lol Well, i'm glad that i'm not the only one confussed! Good luck to you too!!!
  14. Okay, so heres the deal. *If you had will power you would NOT need surgery* with that in mind... I had my surgery about two weeks ago I was basicly told to start out with liquids and advance... 'experiment' until i found my limit. well, tonight i ate a big mac.... NO limit my band has yet to be filled... is that the problem?!?!?
