  3. I to have only lost 12kgs(27lbs) since 30th aug 2010.But to be truthful i havent taken it seriously and thought the band was going to be a miracle worker but it is the oposite i have to be the miracle worker.i have started busting my arse at the gym and having alot more Protein and counting calories. And finally iam losing very slowly only 1kg(2lbs) per week but i have to look at it as a lose. I hope something works for u good luck
  4. Hi cheryl-ann I am just like you but was only banded august last year at starting weight 130kgs(286lbs) and is now down to 117kgs(257lbs). I have just got restriction and it is a constant battle to stay away from bad foods. But in the last few weeks i picked my self up off the floor and slowly(veryslowy) but surely the kgs are coming off.Tomoro is a different day ,forget what u did in the past. And if u cant strict urself just start by changing one aspect, like something in ur diet that has high calories eg coke to diet coke or high fat to low fat.I have a very overweight partner 162kgs(356lbs) but he refuses to address his weight so all i did was buy the things he wanted but low-fat and healthier choices , without him knowing he has dramatically change his calorie intake. There are some people that when they get the band they drop weight so quickly, sometimes even without exercise. Then there are others that eat around the band or have what i call the stubborn fat that even though u exercise and eat well it still is so damn slow to come off.We wont drop weight quickly but we can still loose it just will take longer but we can do it.If u have a bad day thats all it is a bad DAY, the next day get back up and carry on. I wish you the best of luck
  5. Hi everyone , Thanls for all the advice , its bn a while since i have been on the site and this is the first time reading all ur comments, I did try lyrica and it started to put the weight back on. But overall in the last few months i have bn feeling much better as anyone i have my bad days but since the weight has bn coming off ive bn able to move more.I am in Australia and they have medicare here which pays for medical treatments so my doctor has sent me to a Physiotherapist and he is really helping me move alot more.I have also bn put on an antidepressant and i feel alot happier.I have dramatically changed my diet now and NO CARBS as was recommended and it has really helped. I am on my way to a healthier happier me and i am so gratefully.I think i have become a much stronger person and have realise just because i have this illness it shouldnt stop me from living life . THANK YOU ALL

I woke this morning looking in the mirror and one boob has lost more weight then the other its very strange .Its not just a lil bit either its a cup size difference.Has this happen to anyone else? and do they even up , i hope so thanks :-)
  8. I felt the same way i week ago, i had my surgery in august and hadnt lost any weight, but i recently got my third fill and im definitely restriction.Cant hardly get anything down where before i could get anything and everything. U just feel full and if u eat another bite ull be sick(this is where iam learning not to over eat).I am feeling satisfied and no hungry what so ever, before this fill i thought i was failing and that i would never lose the weight.i have lost 4 kgs (8.8lbs) in a week and a half.Hang in there it will be better.

  11. Hi all My name is Lacey , im 23 yrs old and have Fibromyalgia.I was banded 30th aug 2010 and have been struggling with it.But the new year has set in and i am motivated to get back on track. Are the any bandsters out there that are battling through with Fibromyalgia and how do you live with it and the band. In the last few months my pain has been severe and the thought of exercise is horrible but i know i need to.Is there any advice about fitness programs or treatments anyone have used. The only exercise that doesnt give me severe pain is hydrotherapy classes but they cost $10 per lesson and i cant afford that 4 times a week or even to get a member ship. Thankyou any words of wisdom will help :-)
  12. I have Fibromyalgia and im just starting my journey i had my band in august 2010 and have only lost 7.5 kilos. In the last few months my Fibromyalgia has been quite severe and exercising is the last thing on my mind even thought i have to do it.The only thing i can seem to do without severe pain the following day is hydrotherapy classes but the only problem is its $10 a class and i cant afford that 4 times a week. How are you going with your weight loss ?

  14. Hi i had my lapband surgery on 30th august and have only lost 5kgs since surgery but it is purely my fault.I have eaten anything and everything.I have no restrcition and never feel full.I am going for my 3 rd fill on 5th jan but only have small amount as my port is on its side and its very difficult to fill.I also have rheumatism of the muslces which makes exercise really quite painful which really gets me down as i want to get fit and healthy.I feel like i am failing and dont know how to pick myself out of my rut. Has anyone been in my situation or have any advice or ideas to help me pick my self up it will all be very helpful.
