I was sleeved on 8-8-2016 and I'm worried I can eat too much. I ate an entire orange with a few nuts earlier with no problems. Is this normal??

Quitting smoking is the hardest thing I've ever done! I smoked for 26 years and quit February 20th, 2010. I loved cigarettes. Everything I did revolved around them. "can I smoke if I go there?' "how long is the plane ride?". It was so rough! But, I had to tell myself everyday, I am worth it. I want to live a full life, see my kids grow up, and still be able to breathe! Just tell yourself, "I'm not a smoker anymore". It does help and it does get easier! Best of luck to you!

Hello everyone! I am so glad I found this sight. It has really answered alot of questions for me. I was banded yesterday 12-7. I have been able to drink the amounts my doctor wants without any problem. The concern I have is that I ran a low grade fever last night and still have it. Between 99;9 and 100.6. I had to wear a foley cath. home for a few days because general anesthesia caused me to be unable to urinate for a few days. I also get frequent utis. I wonder if that is what is causing my fever. I have called the nurse, but no response yet. Good luck to all!

I am getting my lap band tomorrow and it will not be filled. I wonder if I will be hungry these first 4 weeks before getting filled? I'm supposed to be on liquids only for 3 weeks.

Thanks you guys so much for your comments! I just got home from the hospital and am doing great. I thought I'd be in alot of pain but I'm not. I feel really good, just a little sore and some shoulder pain (which I think is gas pains). I think this site is so great. Everyone seems so willing to share their advice and experiences and I know I'm gonna need it! Now, nappy time for me:).
